Sage Canaday: Run Fast, Run Far. The journey of a marathon runner who is training to compete as an ultra marathon trail runner. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Up and Down (and back UP). 8220;When you’re up [You’re UP! When you’re down [You’re DOWN! When you’re up against Cornell track: [You’re UPSIDE-DOWN! Head track coach Nathan Taylor would lead the entire team is this chant during our most fiercely competitive meet: The Heps. Running a lot also means I eat a lot of pizza! Slowly my strength, mobility, (and f...

Sage Canaday: Run Fast, Run Far. The journey of a marathon runner who is training to compete as an ultra marathon trail runner. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The Luxury of Hindsight. 8220;Attacking the organism with a variety of aerobic stimuli” – paraphrase of famed coach Renato Canova in regards to his fundamental phase of training. Pure bliss. This is how I like to live and feel alive. On a side note:. I also like to do some new shoe reviews:. In closing, I wanted to share this video from fellow Oregonian ...
In The Midst Of Mountains: Summary - 1/15
http://bradleyswilson.blogspot.com/2012/01/summary-115.html
In The Midst Of Mountains. Sunday, January 15, 2012. It's been a good start to the year and I'm hoping to return to considering this a training blog. I was able to enjoy some nice downtime in Michigan with my wife's family for a late Christmas celebration of the birth of Jesus. I was also able to get a few miles in every day thus far. Sunday, Jan 1. 542 Miles @ 271 vert ft. Neighborhood loop with Christine, plus a quick 1.5 mile solo sprint at the end. Monday, Jan 2. 802 Miles @ 1318 vert ft. Wed, Jan 4.

In The Midst Of Mountains. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Fall Is In The Air. Over the past week, my early morning runs have started with temperatures between 40 and 50F. With that, my mind moves from the summer season to fall, complete with a warm cup'a joe in hand. So this morning, I couldn't help but scan through some pictures of this summer to remind me of the places my two legs have taken me. I thought I'd share a few:. In The Midst Of Mountains: September 2010

In The Midst Of Mountains. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Weekly Summary - 10/3. Monday: 3.5 Miles - Pond Loop with Christine (AM). Nice cool morning run before catching a flight to Tennessee for work. Ankle is still giving me problems and I have no idea why, other than the fact that it began after a timed mile and some barefooting last week. Tuesday: 5.5 Miles - Knoxville. Friday: 6.6 Miles - Knoxville (AM). Saturday: Bear Peak w/Christine. Sunday: 3.5 Miles - Pond Loop w/Christine (AM). Really warm out&...
Life is a Highway: July 2010
http://lifeisahighway91.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 31, 2010. How This Runner Got His Groove Back. Too good, even. As in, "way out-of-hand" good. During the long lay-off, I did not engage in any form of exercise or physical activity to keep my fitness level up. Let's just say I simply felt lazy and enjoyed the surplus of free time that used to be gobbled up by running. The cherry on the sundae was my relapse into an old - and very bad - habit: Smoking. With my closest buddies. Make the heart - and feet - grow fonder. Tuesday, July 20, 2010.

Live Epic: Hardrock
http://dylanjbowman.blogspot.com/2011/07/hardrock.html
Friday, July 15, 2011. Just outside of Aspen, the twin peaks of the Maroon Bells stand guard over an otherwise unassuming high alpine valley. At the base of these gnarled and jagged mountains there is a sign warning overeager mountaineers of the dangers inherent in every summit attempt. The sign simply reads, "These Mountains Don't Care." This simple sentence took special resonance with me last weekend in a different mountain range in Southwestern Colorado. Overall, the rest of the day was relaxed and pl...
