Steam Call: Hands From An Up And Down Session
http://steamcall.blogspot.com/2010/01/hands-from-up-and-down-session.html
How I make that call? Monday, January 18, 2010. Hands From An Up And Down Session. Ran really good at the end of my last session to finish marginally up. Some interesting hands:. I was setting myself up to shove the river but abandoned ship when the 4th broadway card rivered. I don't think I would have gotten called by anything but a J once the river comes, but I never know at these stakes. I have AQ here. My last interesting NLHE hand. Finally, I'll whine about a few PLO hands I lost :). Favorite agains...

Steam Call: Minimizing Winnings (lol)
http://steamcall.blogspot.com/2010/01/minimizing-winnings-lol.html
How I make that call? Monday, January 18, 2010. Ok, so a table you're sitting at is really good. You're catching hands, stealing blinds, and reading souls. You run your stack up to two or two and a half buy-ins, but then the fish go bust and the table breaks. Do you go right to the cake browser and find a new table to sit at? I'm curious what (and why) other people are doing in spots like this? January 18, 2010 at 1:10 PM. How come I can’t subscribe to comments on your blog, Chuck? Is this thing on?

True Cake Challenge: Break on through to the other side
http://truecakechallenge.blogspot.com/2008/01/break-on-through-to-other-side.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Break on through to the other side. A bill, one hundy, triple digits, century mark, double up.call it what you will but my current bankroll is $100.45. What was the final leg of this portion of the journey like? Well as you may recall from last the last episode, I was sitting at $95.27, perched at the edge of doubling my roll but on the outside looking in. Cards were with me. I don't think I lost a single showdown this session. Flop top set with 77. Limp in with 8h9h. And get...

Eeyore Cake: July 2010

3k or Bust graph. 1k or Bust graph. Cake Challenge II graph. Friday, July 16, 2010. Two Weeks In: I Miss Week One. This last week has been dreadful in the $1k challenge. Started the week at $351.90, and while I temporarily climbed as high as $380, the 'roll went crashing down. At my nadir, I hit $287. A run-good, play-against-giant-donks 45 minute session that just ended salvaged the week a bit, and the 'roll is back "up" to $338.03, with rakeback. I'm looking at you. Friday, July 9, 2010. 100 swing....

Eeyore Cake: October 2010
http://eeoyorecake.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
3k or Bust graph. 1k or Bust graph. Cake Challenge II graph. Saturday, October 2, 2010. Three Months In: Thank G-d for Rakeback/Bonus. Five weeks since my last confession. Extreme turbulence, resulting in no actual. Overall movement from the actual. My ring game play continued to suck a* . In about 1800 hands (focused much more on the ST SNGs), I dropped about $54, for an ROI of -12.70%. So why so much (relative) success with the SNGs and so little with ring games?
