The Big Red Barn. The Adventures of Barb and Steve in Southwestern Wisconsin. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. This is Grover, our new 8 week old kitten. He likes the chickens. And after a week of hissing and growling, I think Tigger is accepting him :-). This is the lower garden. The potatoes are the back 3 1/2 rows. There are also sweet potatoes, cabbage, squash and a few extra tomato plants. The hazelnuts are planted in the pasture area below. Sunday, June 10, 2012. Planting, Watering, Harvesting and Weeding.

There will be a knee wall on the sides and the ceiling will be wood. Steve has been busy finishing up trim around the windows and doors and putting up crown in the main floor living area. It is really coming together. Our next big project is putting in the pine floor. We bought it from a man who disassembles old barns and it will look awesome when it is in.

We love our little Lucy and after seeing a similar carpet in the store the other day for $15, I came up with a way to make it for $1.60! All you need is a carpet sample that you can pick up at any hardware store, pen , scissors, Xacto knife or razor. Flip the carpet over and place bowls on top. This ensures you make the dog bone shape large enough to hold it! Now call your dog and show them their new eating space! Out on the prairie.
