Undone: The no good, very bad three weeks
http://sephaundone.blogspot.com/2009/05/no-good-very-bad-three-weeks.html
Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Tuesday, May 05, 2009. The no good, very bad three weeks. So far, I've been sick a lot, I've slept a lot and I have a white blood cell count of 0.65. That's the short version. Hohohohohohohohoho - have you met me, Princess Oncologist? Also, unnamed side-effect - strange dreams at night. Perhaps connected to the anxiety. I wake up and never want to sleep at night again. I have no idea. So, that was 3 weeks ago - I think. And 21 days later - guess what?

Undone: Right here, right now
http://sephaundone.blogspot.com/2009/04/right-here-right-now.html
Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Right here, right now. It's a relief really. I don't have to wait any longer. And I have felt this coming since the start of the year. Which is why I have been so quiet I think. I nearly posted one of my angst-ridden posts about waiting for test results but then I decided that I keep posting those and then stuff's ok-ish and I feel a fool. Not so good really. I leave you with a quote from Winston Churchill:. Oh bah. BAH! April 16...

Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Long live internet shopping! I have nearly recovered. From Oxford Street and its environs on a Saturday in late November. I managed not to kill anyone although the urge was strong. Too many people in not enough space equals me wanting to batter said people. John Lewis also helpfully has those wheely baskets - I am in favour of. Sadly they don't have aisles large enough to accommodate the baskets and other people. : groan:. I was ...

Undone: Poke, poke, poke
http://sephaundone.blogspot.com/2009/02/poke-poke-poke.html
Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Monday, February 23, 2009. Poke, poke, poke. I have this pain in my thigh. Sort of pokey. Very localised. About 6cm in diameter. It's worse at night, especially when I lie down. Goes on pretty much all night. And it makes me want to stab it with a very sharp, pointy knife. Probably on the basis that the new pain would detract from the original pain. However, do not be surprised if you catch me thumping my own leg saying things like "Just fuck off! Step Int...

Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Sunday, May 17, 2009. Cancer - in cackling tones: "We're in your skull, trying to reach your bra-a-ins! Is what an MRI of my head shows. Which explains the numb patches on my face and in my mouth. Apparently it's squeezing in between the layers of the skull and trapping nerves. People are being positive - I have no perspective so am utterly lost and just being gently nudged around from pillar to post. Fortunately the answer was yes and it is Short. Quite p...

Undone: December 2008
http://sephaundone.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Saturday, December 20, 2008. To be clear - they did insure me in the end - as a 'goodwill gesture'; but probably won't do so again. I cried - no, I'll be honest, I bawled down the phone at them to the extent that I was barely intelligible while giving my credit card details. So much so that the woman who was dealing with me became so upset that someone else had to take over. Oh, and sorry I upset you Mirriam. Friday, December 19, 2008. I've had this underl...

Undone: My first surgery
http://sephaundone.blogspot.com/2006/03/my-first-surgery.html
Trawling through the mess and muddle of my head. Sunday, March 26, 2006. So, where were we? Waiting to hear from the admissions office about having the portocath put in. I heard from them the following day: Thursday. They telephoned and asked if I could be at the hospital by 4.30pm at a different ward to the one I had been sent to originally. I choked out a 'yes'. But, I was told this was going to improve the chemotherapy experience, which I felt I couldn't cope with. So, I said 'yes'. Part of me thought...

http://bloggrrilla.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Marriage, divorce, law school. Don't think twice, it's alright. Thursday, August 24, 2006. It has really been over a month since I posted on poor ole bloggrilla! That's cause all the action is happening over at cancer grrl. At least in terms of posting. Manage to see Snakes on a Plane. In my life, but, we all like a little gratuitous fear from someone else's pain. And, muthafuckin Sam Jackson did not swear as much as this muthafucka would have wanted. goddamn it. I also watched The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Marriage, divorce, law school. Don't think twice, it's alright. Sunday, June 25, 2006. Part of the "fun" of chemo (ha! Is trying on wigs. I loved this one, but didn't buy it of course. I mean, I have very short, curly hair. Me looking this good would cause major rifts in the time space continuum. Posted by abigail at 9:52:00 AM. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 20, 2006. What do cats DO? Oh gads but i do digress. At any rate, today was a very worthwhile CLE, because one of the sections was on Animal Law.

On the database I blog. 3 Normal Forms Tutorial. The whole truth behind candidate keys. May 21, 2015. A reader of my tutorial on the 3 Normal Forms. The question is: why was customer id not used as part of the composite primary key (order id, customer id , item id) in 1NF in the first place? It’s a good question. The questioner identified one of the normalization issues that I simplified in order to make (I hope) my tutorial more readable. Going back to the tutorial. Ordered by a customer. The trouble is...
