The Canyon Adventure Playground has been a key part of Play in Stevenage since the 1970′s. John and Jane, the current owners, have been running things for many years, taking over from John’s father, Ted Ansell, who has now retired. With two permanent members of staff we managed to keep the playground ticking over until the bad weather came in November. Then we had to use other buildings in the area, such as the A.T.C. and Ridlins End Sports Pavilion, when John Skinner returned to us at Christmas to work with the teenagers.
