I am living with my in-laws with my husband and a two-year old and a newborn. And I just started a new job. Nothing in my life ever seems to be simple! Well, my parents were moving out of state. Due to my Dad's job situation, they were selling my childhood home and buying the house my Dad grew up in. In Nebraska. So not only were my...At the sa...

100 Things for 2014. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Gratitude - The state of being grateful; thankfulness. It is so important to be grateful and content with your gifts in life. Especially now with all of the horrible images and stories coming from places like Haiti where people have lost EVERYTHING. So I am playing Pollyanna and twisting my complaints into something useful and GRATEFUL! Laundry is a thankless, never ending chore. I am so tired of having to come up with a menu and cook everyday. Some women...

100 Things for 2014. Monday, January 21, 2013. New Year - 2013 or my 36th on the planet. Today is my birthday and I am turning 36. I love the fact that as a January baby, I get a few weeks to try out my New Year's goals before my birthday, which I consider my true NEW YEAR. I really needed those weeks this year to get my stuff in order! Our family spent the first two weeks of 2013 with the flu. You know that epidemic that they keep talking about on the news? My Particular Harbor: December 2011
http://myparticularharbor-jenn.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
100 Things for 2014. Saturday, December 31, 2011. 20 minutes left of 2011. Wow - I can't believe that 2011 is almost over. This has been a rough year for my family. Just over a year ago I went back to work full-time outside of the house. With that brought adjustments for my time as well as my children not having Mommy all to themselves which is still taking some getting used to. My parents moved and now live just four doors down from me! I hope that you and yours have a wonderful New Year! Labels: Work I...

100 Things for 2014. 100 Things for 2014. A new year, and with it 365 days to make a difference in my life and for others. I am using the workbook and planner from Leonie Dawson. Some of these items have been "recycled" from last year's list. Either because I wasn't able to complete them, or I did complete them and I have decided to revisit them or "up the ante"! So here goes - and I will update this page as I go, so please keep me accountable! Take state board exams and get my insurance license. Run a 1...

100 Things for 2014. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Daniel Fast - review and new goals. In my last posts, I wrote about doing the Daniel Fast. Let me just say, the first day was a little difficult, but after some recipe searches and a little planning, it got easier. In 10 days, I lost 8 pounds! I would have lost more if I was exercising regularly and if I didn't allow myself to "cheat". It would take a stronger woman than me! Here are the "rules" I am giving myself:. Girl Scouts is starting back up and I am ei...

My Particular Harbor: How did I get here? Part 1
http://myparticularharbor-jenn.blogspot.com/2014/08/how-did-i-get-here-part-1.html
100 Things for 2014. Monday, August 25, 2014. How did I get here? When we got married, I was the breadwinner while my husband worked full-time and took a full-time course load to finish his degree. I was also taking classes part-time. Then we got pregnant. I still worked crazy hours, but I dropped school. My husband was closer to his degree, so we decided that he would finish and then I would go back to school. After six weeks, I went back to work. Because its what I thought was expected. It was ...But I...

The Infertility Chronicles: October 2010
http://pennstateprincess.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 21, 2010. Can I still post here? I feel really strange posting over on this blog (hence the HUGE hiatus from posting). I'm still in the frame of mind where I don't want to offend or hurt anyone, but I also want everyone out there (who doesn't also read my baby blog) to know that all is still well in our world. Things have been mostly uneventful and I am truly blessed by that! I hope you're all doing well! T-minus 6 weeks (or less! Counting until H's arrival! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
