PMS is no fun...and I need advice - Striving for Perfection
http://must-coordinate.livejournal.com/252632.html
PMS is no fun.and I need advice. Sep 27th, 2009 at 7:06 PM. I put a lock on my food cabinet today. She stole from me AGAIN. I know she's only 13, and there are way worse roommate issues, but I need my junk food fix. And she ate it! Dan is refusing to even talk to me; I guess we'll be fighting all this out in court, instead of mediating even a little bit. Yay for spending more money to satisfy his pride, logic be damned. 13 comments Leave a comment. Sep 27th, 2009 11:30 pm (UTC). You have my email? Send m...

When I was in college in the mid and late 90s, the more mainstream - Bicrims Journal. Im loving all of you, my friends. 27 June 2015 @ 02:18 am. We have so much more work to do, and I'm still a radical, I still believe that we need to fight capitalism and bring power to the people. I'm still a bisexual femme dyke who would rather fight the patriarchy than fight in the military. However, what a feeling of acknowledgment, of validation, for my people. What a day. 5 comments Leave a comment. She's spending ...

At The Vets... - Breastfeeding UK
http://breastfeedinguk.livejournal.com/208214.html
An hour ago, as it happens. I present two 12 week old kittens, and as of yet unspayed Mama cat. Why haven't you had her spayed yet? She's still nursing, we didn't want her milk to dry up.". These kittens are 12 weeks old! They should have been weaned at 8 weeks! It's bad for cats to keep nursing past 8 weeks. It makes the kittens needy, and they can claw things and knead people.". By separating them. Forcing the kittens to eat solid food. They should be on lots of solids now.". It just is.". The kittens ...

Tantruming 17-month-old - Attachment Parenting
http://attachedparents.livejournal.com/1284761.html
Aug 19th, 2009 at 4:44 PM. Maybe it's the heat or teething or just a plain bad mood or something, but my 17-month-old has been throwing quite a few tantrums lately, often because she wants something she can't have. Other times, the cause is simply a mystery to us. To her (kinda-sorta ignoring her, I suppose), she quietens down. At which point, we'd ask her if she's okay, she'd start freaking out again. This goes back and forth until she's ready to be held and nursed. 20 comments Leave a comment. SoI woul...

It's never a good sign when the school calls you in the middle of the day - thistles
http://thistles.livejournal.com/478452.html
It's never a good sign when the school calls you in the middle of the day. I got home from the gym yesterday and checked the phone. I saw that Aislin's school had called, but there was no message. Hm. Probably not that important, especially since they didn't call my cell phone. Still, I called over there just in case. The secretary wasn't sure but said she'd have the teacher call me if it was urgent. Are you sick of me whining about Aislin wetting her pants yet? Posted on Mar. 2nd, 2011 at 11:57 am.

How to make life difficult. Jun 6th, 2009 at 11:16 AM. During a discussion about cinnamon toast on one of my lists, somebody mentioned Fairy Bread. Turns out that Fairy Bread is simply buttered bread which has been dipped into candy sprinkles aka hundreds and thousands. It is very popular with the children in Oz. Do you really need a RECIPE for that? And to make things even MORE difficult, you need to measure the ingredients, on a scale, in GRAMS. Well, no wonder that Fairy Bread never caught on in the US.

Neglect - thistles
http://thistles.livejournal.com/477931.html
I'm afraid my little old Livejournal is going to become increasingly more neglected. Hardly anyone blogs here anymore who used to blog when I first started out, so maybe nobody cares. But I feel a little bit sad about that. I have a couple of interesting other blog projects going on. There's my professional blog (although it does cross the line into personal too) at http:/ christinewhitley.tumblr.com. I was thinking about a post about my scrooge-like attitude around school holiday parties. Say that you h...
