Wednesday, September 2, 2009. 1 year later …. Whilst Dad was staying, we also celebrated our year’s anniversary of arrival to New Zealand. On one hand it feels like we have not long arrived, and yet on the other hand, it feels as though we have lived here forever. I still have vivid memories of those goodbyes that we made the day before left our rental cottage in Christchurch. All those tears and sad faces still haunt me, and will quite often bring a tear to my eye even now. Was it what we expected?

Wednesday, November 12, 2008. For the first time since James was born, I had my own car again. Wasn’t the newest or greatest car in the world, but it was at least, mine. Nor was it the most reliable. Some of you may recall that it had a little stint sat on a grass verge a few weeks ago? That was only due to a dud battery, and after a day back with the dealer, a new battery and the oil leak fixed she was as good as new. Oh, and one minor detail – she had a turbo – and boy, did it work!

Thursday, October 30, 2008. This is our first NZ bank holiday, and shall also be my first day off since starting work. I for one can’t wait for a nice long weekend. To celebrate the start of a long weekend, Jon brought the kids down into. And I met them all at a local shopping mall. First stop was a. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. It's not good news . ". This week is really dragging. I can’t believe that this time last week I was in New Zealand, wandering around Hamilton Lake with Lisa and Dawn. It seems an eternity away, as so much has happened in such a short space of time. Sunday we had another party to attend at Serendipidy Sams, followed by hotdogs and cake at their house. Yet another fantastic day. Then it was business as usual on Monday, with my return to work, and James back off the pre-school.

Another Happy Day

Love you Gpa and Gma! It was such a joy to have Jolee and David come out last month to visit for a week. It was the first time we got to see little Miles and it was love at first sight :) Kaylee loved watching her little cousin and really enjoyed holding him, as she asks to do with all babies she sees. I love how he looks exactly like his daddy and has a great smile! Just wait a year and Kaylee and Miles will be inseperable and running around everywhere - she will teach him everything she knows I am sure!
