Canning fruits and veggies. One of the joys of having your own house and garden, is being able to grow your own veggies - or as in my case, have your lovely boyfriend do it for you! The result were four jars of tomatoes, prepared with some onion and garlic, ready to use as a sauce or soup base. (In the backround are jars of homemade quince jelly by my beau's hand). I must say I am a fan of canning. The tradional, domestic air it has is just so comforting, romantic even. November 26, 2012 at 11:26 PM.
