The Drawing Room is situated alongside the old A470 (now a quiet country lane), just 3 miles from the Royal Welsh Showground. It’s 20 minutes to Brecon or Hay-on-Wye (with it’s annual famous literary festival) and within easy reach of the Cambrian and Black Mountains. Cardiff 1.5 hrs Bristol 2 hrs. London 3.5 hrs Chester 2 hrs. Birmingham 2.5 hrs Hereford 1 hr.

It was a Summer retreat for Sir and Lady Marchant Williams, he being an eminent Victorian MP and stipendiary Judge.
