Sunday, March 29, 2015. Our Family in 2015: Week of 3/23-3/29. Adam picked up this toy gun from D.I. a few weeks ago, and Sam thinks he is oh-so-cool when Adam lets him hold it. He loves those big brothers of his. After dropping off the big kids and Mike one morning, I had to stop at Target. I decided to let Sam out of the cart to check out the toys. Pajamas and bare feet and all. He was one happy kid with all of that freedom. Now at any given moment we can find Josh climbing up various doorways. He's my...

Sunday, January 26, 2014. Our Family: Week of 1/20-1/26. On Monday, the kids had no school. It was their 5th day of "no school" (they only go to school Monday-Thursday, and Thursday of the previous week was "staff development day", so they were off Thursday - Monday). And, truthfully, they were kinda done with "no school.". Or, at least, they were tired of being stuck in a house with a itchy/tired/recovering-from-a-c-section Mama. There was a lot of bickering and boredom and grumpies going around. We pic...

Sunday, March 23, 2014. Our Family: Week of 3/17-3/23. We woke up bright and early on Monday to see if we had caught any leprechauns. They managed to escape. But, before they did, they left some gold candy in each of the kids' traps. And a sneaky tattoo on each of their cheeks. Unfortunately, Adam had a career project due that day, that required an interview in professional attire. And shamrocks on cheeks are not. So he scrubbed his off. Before sending us on the 25 minute drive back home. Adam joined the...

Now Look What You've Started. I have a view about everything. My view is brash, blunt, honest, and occasionally inappropriate. Love it or hate it, I say the things that everyone is thinking, but don't want to admit. Friday, May 23, 2008. Expansion and Construction, or, Me Questioning BYU-Idaho's thought process. Well, let me explain the sitch (I've learned that is new lingo for "situation"), and I'll tell you why I'm questioning this decision by BYU-Idaho administration. 2 On Wednesday, when this really ...

I like to sit in the back of class. The middle row, to be exact. I’ve been this way ever since I’ve gotten into college. Why? Sunday, July 27, 2014. Our Family: Week of 7/21-7/27. On Monday, my sweet sister drove Mike Adam down to the insurance office and the car lot. Mike gave his statement, collected the $800 check, and went to the car lot to make sure nothing else good was left in it. They said good-bye to that van that has been so. Good to us this past year. Mike and I decided years ago to never get into debt for a vehicle again. It has been reliable and good and we were so blessed to not have to get into debt for it. Our v...

Sunday, May 25, 2014. Our Family: Week of 5/19-5/25. On Monday, Mike went into work for a couple of meetings he had to take care of (it was his day off). The school called, and I didn't hear the phone. So, they reached Mike at work (who, luckily, happened to be there). Grace had gotten sick at school, and needed a change of clothes. She felt fine, and didn't have a temperature, so the nurse said we could keep her at school. It ended up being the beginning of a weird week-long virus for Grace. I am so tha...

Sunday, April 12, 2015. Our Family in 2015: Week of 4/6-4/12. Adam and Grace both auditioned for the school talent show (and both made it! Adam decided to start his own little YouTube account with his piano songs, including the song he is playing for the talent show, "Don't Stop Believin.'". On Monday, we had our traditional after-Easter-FHE of dyeing the eggs. They all had so much fun coloring those eggs! Sam was especially amazed. Josh made the world's cutest horse at pre-school. And we are so glad!
