THE FRUIT and FLOWER BASKET. We supply fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses and homemade products, to wholesale and retail trade. Former chef, Phil Strickland, started The Fruit and Flower Basket over 15 years ago in the centre of Bishops Lydeard. We moved to new larger premises, iun 2006, within walking distance of Bishops Lydeard Railway station home of the West Somerset Railway. The shop has plenty of car parking. Come and try for yourself! Macerated Honeydew, Cantaloupe and Watermelon with Iced Pineapple Wine. 2 cups (1-inch) cubed red watermelon. 1 cup (1-inch) cubed yellow watermelon. 1 cup (1-inch) cubed cantaloupe. 1 cup (1-inch) cubed honeydew. 2 cups pineapple wine, chilled (recommended: Tedeschi). Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish. In a large bowl, combine the fruit with the wine. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Garnish with mint.
