My Conversations With Solitude. Friday, January 30, 2009. Now it goes kind of like this-. Everyone staring at her expectantly. Madam is dragging someone towards the crowd, presumably her husband. However, the dude is putting up a fierce resistance.). Madam- My husband (My suspicions were right! Jet staffer- Yes,madam? Madam- My husband, my husband here. (pointing to him vigorously, with the dude still trying to extricate himself from her). Madam- My husband here, he is an IITian. And proceeds towards him.

My Conversations With Solitude: February 2006
http://digitalpensieve.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
My Conversations With Solitude. Monday, February 27, 2006. Prologue to upcoming things. My Mom says that she thinks I have changed a lot since I came to the States. She says that I seem to have become a much deeper thinker or something. (yeah, yeah, I can hear all of my friends who read this blog laughing.laugh on dudes.humph.) Of course, except for me being as careless as ever, she says. :(. The thing is, as a wise person has said- " Leisure is the mother of Philosophy. Thomas Hobbes, Leviathan. It's not...

My Conversations With Solitude: March 2009
http://digitalpensieve.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
My Conversations With Solitude. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Anyway, for all its demerits, the BSG finale did spark an interesting line of thought in me. While our urge for technological progress is perfectly explicable, our urge to build humanoid robots is a little more intriguing. I can understand that we want to build robots, but why humanoid robots? Why not things that don’t have a head, have four arms and four legs? Why this determination to model ourselves? Posted by Akshat Jain at 12:42 PM. And I would...

My Conversations With Solitude. Monday, January 14, 2008. The God and the intelligent. And God called on his people and asked them to choose a leader. He said the leader will guide you, will move you. Towards a better future. So, his people went away to choose a leader and God waited. And waited, kinda getting bored. In the process, and he must have slept off for a bit, because when he looked down again, people had gone from listening to. Have a lot of banana trees in their backyard. He wants all the...

My Conversations With Solitude: December 2006
http://digitalpensieve.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
My Conversations With Solitude. Sunday, December 10, 2006. The return of the roommate. He gives a broad smile. I finally worm out the story from him. It turns out that he had clogged the toilet and in an attempt to unblock it, he flushed it. By the way, which side of the plunger do you use? Both of them are dangerous in their own way. While the previous one was likely to kill me, this one is likely to get me killed. Me: Why are you so happy? Him: I set the waffle maker on fire. Me: What did you do? He op...

My Conversations With Solitude. Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Demanding patience but offering no reward for it in terms of closure, as the case was never solved, the movie invites the viewer to enjoy the process itself. For those who can do it, a must-see movie. For those looking for a quick-fix, Ghost Rider is playing next door. Posted by Akshat Jain at 5:33 PM. Ramble In The Jungle. Musings Of A Memory Maniac. Life Of A Kaps. It's all about the Game. A lot of people ask me why I read so much fantasy .

My Conversations With Solitude. Friday, March 03, 2006. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Daytime. There is a dead dog in a box lying in my living room. There I've said it. That opening sentence is one of those sentences you never quite imagine yourself saying in your lifetime , unless you are a psychotic dog-killer or something,of course. Anyway, one thing I should point out-as many of you doubtless suspect by now, this is not the essay I was going on and on about in my last blog. This online track...

My Conversations With Solitude: July 2006
http://digitalpensieve.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
My Conversations With Solitude. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Life and times of the upwardly mobile. Whoa It has been a loooong time since I last told you good gentlemen about how life has been treating (or mistreating, for that matter) me. Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth? That you come here for my ramblings. Therefore, to please you, my valued reader, I shall manfully ramble on. Now you're telling me. Then give me another word for it. I lost...

My Conversations With Solitude. Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Research- the razzmatazz and all that jazz. AhhhI am slightly better off today.it's only 1:30 AM :). But considering that I have a class at 10 in the morning, I am still pretty late. :(. So, no time for small talk, my dear pensieve, let's cut to the chase. Today's topic is one that is close to the heart of every graduate student. Except me, of course. Do I hear a lot of nay's? Ahhhwell, perhaps the joke is lost on a bunch like you who don't even h...

My Conversations With Solitude: April 2006
http://digitalpensieve.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
My Conversations With Solitude. Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Random Ramblings of a Benign Mind. 9:12 - Wake up to the tring, tring(yes, the old-fashioned tring, tring) of the alarm of my cellphone. Ahh.I have 3 minutes more to sleep.that was the idea of setting the alarm to 9:12. Have an exam at 10:30, so need to get ready quickly. I forgot to look at last year's exam last night, out of which people say questions are sure to come.so need to do that too before I leave. I don't even want to think about it.
