Sunday, August 21, 2011. Strawberry Basil Iced Tea. I have found another use for all that basil that has been thriving in summer heat, Strawberry Iced tea. This drink is very refreshing and easy to make. The earthy taste of the basil compliments the sharp sweetness of the berries with the smoothness of the black tea. I promise you will be making this for the rest of the summer! I am thinking of adding some vodka to this to make a great cocktail for the adults. I will keep you informed. Ice, for serving.

Grandpa has mastered the art of putting Trevor to sleep. And this is not an easy task! He is so nosey and he thinks he will miss something if he closes his eyes. Jon has been wanting to get out on the lake and this was pretty much the only weekend we were able to go. It was chilly but we had a great time. Jon really enjoys hanging out with Paul. Grandpa gets a little tired holding his buddy. Not quite ready for prime time. Ken and Jon worked very hard carving his pumpkin. Usually Ken doesn't like to be bothered with this holiday but since it was Trevor's first one, he went all out. Trevor was a very tired tiger! The sweetest veggie ever!
