The Weekend in Review: It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas! Finally, it is, indeed, beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Texas. The temperatures are now low enough to be called cold, the heat is on, there have been fires in the fireplace, and even a brief sighting of snow! The Christmas trees and decorations are all up, Christmas shopping is busily being done, and Christmas cards are about to be dropped in the mail. And with the next few weeks including more time with Daddy home and even mor...

January 8, 2010 at 12:55 pm. The next part of our holiday festivities took us to Eric’s parent’s house in the Chicago area. Summary: delay, delay, delay, bad Santa, pedophiles, and pictures. However, this decision, apparently, was the worst decision I made over the holidays…which is saying a lot, because I definitely made some bad decisions (candy, cookie, pumpkin bread, cupcake, etc., etc.). Anyways, I digress. Back to the tale at hand…. 8221; or “Isn’t she a sweet one? Entry filed under: Uncategorized.

Archive for September, 2009. Paleo – Day 3. I am feeling pretty good. I am still hating eating egg casserole for breakfast, just makes me very nauseous and working on some other alternative. Eric is having great weight loss results. I am very proud of him! I also want to clarify my latest adjustments that I mentioned yesterday, just so you know, and just to keep me accountable. I am allowing myself up to 2 diary and 1 grain a day in addition to the standard Paleo diet. September 30, 2009 at 9:41 pm.

The Weekend in Review: It’s all fun and games until someone pukes! December 14, 2009 at 2:36 pm. It costs $23 for your lil’ precious babies to sit in Santa’s lap for a picture! Yes, she can sit on his lap for free, but really, she’s ten months old (almost), and all I want is the picture. And no, you cannot just take your own picture. And yes, I am sure you already knew that the mall Santa was the biggest scam in Christmas town, but this is my first time with this one, so let me vent it out! But my blog f...

The Eagles and the Hawk. February 9, 2010 at 6:06 pm. Aka January in Review. Somehow these two birds have something to do with how I account for the month of January…. So, once we settled in after our holiday travels we found ourselves with additional days to rest up and relax at home. A tradition from early on in our marriage is to watch. The Lord of the Rings. That Eric and I fell in love reading. The Lord of the Rings. The Lord of the Rings. On January 28 we celebrated Eric’s 34th birthday! We also ma...

Archive for November, 2009. And another 2 Weeks in Review: Yay Family & Thanksgiving! Well, another two weeks passed on by and I am just now sitting down to blog (and at my hubby’s request no less! The Gardiners have been quite busy as of late, but we have enjoyed our busyness. Hailey’s 1st Thanksgiving was great. She enjoyed a meal of carrots, green beans, rice cereal and all the apple puffs she could horde from the can. She also enjoyed some gingerbread cookies (or bites). November 30, 2009 at 11:37 pm.

Archive for October, 2009. The Weekend in Review: The Dangers of the World. Well, another wonderful weekend has come to a close at the Gardiner house. Things here are changing quickly…but “danger” seems to sum up somethings from this weekend. As Hailey is getting bigger, she is getting more mobile. She is still working on crawling, but she is scouting all over the place…and fast! So this weekend included some new safety measures. Hope you all have a great week! October 27, 2009 at 12:02 pm. The Holiday Recap Begins. January 6, 2010 at 12:40 pm. Daddy and Hailey created quite a few things with her new legos (or lego per her Uncle Chris) and then enjoyed ripping them apart. And Daddy enjoyed figuring out all the latest ways to put batteries into toys. We had so much fun we did not even realize Jango was eating all of his Christmas doggie candy. After showers and naps, we headed out to a fancy lunch at Red Lobster. Hailey loves their cheddar biscuits just as much as her Daddy does. Eric's...

Winter Wonderland Part 2 – A Photo Journal. January 9, 2010 at 12:51 pm. Our time in the Winter Wonderland was grand, and we have hundreds and hundreds of pictures…so I thought I would use less words and more pictures for this next installment of Hailey’s 1st Christmas. Hailey enjoyed playing with the presents around the tree and sitting with the best Santa ever….GranPaPa! After a long winters nap, Santa arrived in the late afternoon and we finally opened Christmas presents. Hailey received tons of super...
