find j.kuo: July 2010
http://findjkuo.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 31, 2010. Ever since i began riding, i never saw the need to get real road shoes. marc managed to convert me by surprising me with a pair. The cleats have to be right at the balls of the feet, which requires some slight measuring during installation. Road shoes are also lighter, more narrow and allow for ventilation. They look less clunky, feel less clunky and pretty much fuse the feet with the bike. all the better to power through climbs and sprints! Friday, July 30, 2010. It's all for fun.

find j.kuo: come on, rudy
http://findjkuo.blogspot.com/2011/06/come-on-rudy.html
Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Come on, rudy. This is such an awful ad. I am also biased because my dad broke his collarbone in a biking accident, barely a week after he received his ebay bike purchase. The helmet he was wearing split into two and did protect his head, but that metal plate in his body still bugs him from time to time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. a likely story: if the shoe fits
http://passthatatlas.blogspot.com/2012/10/if-shoe-fits.html
Wednesday, October 3, 2012. If the shoe fits. I'm following the suited and sauntering boys barefoot to the bar, heels in hand. The Columbus sidewalk is wide and warm; the sky is bright and low. There's enough whiskey on them still it vaguely stings. You can have this," the somber flower-girl announces. She's unpinned a white rose from her frock (it's a frock, when you're young, isn't it? And put it in my hand. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just trying to get a little pizza in an uncivilized world.

24 things I'm going to try this year. Completed: 21 of 24. Man, that is a small number. I've always avoided this portion of the gym due to a healthy fear of a) falling and b) hipsters. Still valid concerns, but bouldering's nonetheless helping me climb "more dynamically" (read: less lazily) and giving me something to do when I can't wrangle a belay partner. 8212; Lead climb in the vicinity of how "well" I can toprope. Scare/injure Alean less. Remains to be seen. 8212; Actually help with setup. This item ...

Friday, August 3, 2012. What's, what's my name. Hey, do you know the word for—". I like this game! 8212;the surface of the water, but from below? Say, if you were a fish in a lake, looking up? My eyes are wide and my workday is shot. Is. There a word for that. I'm consumed by the idea that a term exists, if not in Japanese or Norse then in hydrology or ichthyology or fluid dynamics or scuba. Excruciating! There are all these words I might never know!
