Traveller / Teacher / Writer / Cook. Wednesday, 23 January 2013. Tea really is good for the soul! And the food and drink isn't half bad. They have good panini's, the bacon and onion quiche is a winner (and doesn't break the bank) and they have the odd cake/tart - the lack of selection of the latter is a benefit when you spend a lot of time there! In fairness I've yet to have a cup of tea that surpasses that of the Simply Life cafe's, but they are few and far between and definitely not a place of study!

Next came The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The final film is, of course, Les Miserables. Overall, and regardless of my gripes, there is no doubt in my mind that Les Mis is a cinematic masterpiece and I do hope it does as well as it deserves during awards season. In amidst a week of rain and grey skies we managed to have beautiful sunshine for two whole days - and even got our legs out! Considering it was snowing last month, it's quite an achievement in the UK.
