The Reading Tree

News from our English Galaxy. Tuesday, 27 November 2012. Stories are powerful things. They can capture children's imagination, elevate their interest to learn and improve their literacy. It is vital for young children to hear, read and tell stories as it allows them to explore different ideas and concepts beyond their daily life. They are also fun to tell, fun to hear and fun to share! Sometimes we use puppets, other times I teach them to make their own props. Posted by Miss Jessi. Posted by Miss Jessi.

We Are Good Children | The Reading Tree

http://the-reading-tree.blogspot.com/2012/11/we-are-good-children.html

News from our English Galaxy. Monday, 5 November 2012. We Are Good Children. We had our annual Activity Day last Friday and I personally thought it was the best Activity Day to date. This year's theme was "We Are Good Children". The students participated in vairous activities throughout the day that revolved around this topic. Being the photographer for the day, I witnessed the kids' enjoyment and excitement. Hence I'd like to share some wonderful moments that I captured with you. Enjoy! See you again so...

News from our English Galaxy. Wednesday, 25 April 2012. The Drama Academy have been working on a role play called "Chicken Little". Chicken Little was eating curry fishballs in WanChai Park when a leaf suddenly fell on his head. He thought the sky was falling so he went to tell Donald Tsang. On the way he met many other animals including Ducky Lucky, Cocky Locky, Henny Penny and Turkey Lurkey. They all got on a tram on Johnston Road to go to Central where they met Foxy Loxy. Cooking up a Spanish Storm | Eyespyz

https://eyespyz.wordpress.com/2011/07/03/cooking-up-a-spanish-storm

Live to be inspired. Cooking up a Spanish Storm. Feeling inspired from watching Austalian Masterchef, we challenged ourselves to cook lunch for 12 friends. The theme was Spanish/mediterranean tapas and we had 4 hours to whip it all up. A lot of thought went into planning this menu. We had to consider the timing of making each dish, the availability of ingredients as well as the plating of each dish. Let the party begin! Happy Birthday to Denis and Irene! Stay tuned for recipes of our delicious tapas!

Live to be inspired. 2 tbsp olive oil. 1 large onion, sliced. Vegetable oil (for deep-frying). 4 large potatoes, cut into thin slices (3mm thickness). 2 free-range eggs, beaten. Salt, paprika, chopped parsley. 1 Heat the olive oil in a small frying pan and gently fry the onion over a medium heat until soft but not coloured. Transfer the onions to a bowl, and discard the remaining oil left in the pan. Cut into slices and serve. Definitely a Crowd Pleaser. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Homemade Pizza | Eyespyz

https://eyespyz.wordpress.com/2011/06/25/homemade-pizza

Live to be inspired. Still making good use of the Italian goodies we got from Horizon Plaza. This time we attempted to make pizza! The crust was just right and not at all oily. Simple toppings are the best – pepperoni and mushrooms for misshoyan, olives and anchovies for Iron Chef. Make sure you use good quality cheese! Cooking up a Spanish Storm →. Pier 2 | Eyespyz

https://eyespyz.wordpress.com/2011/06/16/pier-2

Live to be inspired. Located within the third ship trench in Kaohsiung harbor and built in 1973, Pier 2 was originally a general purpose harbor warehouse. In 2000, the Taiwan authority was looking for a space to set up firecrackers for the Independence Day celebration, they chose Pier 2 and it has since been regarded as a most successful project in the ‘repurposing of unused space’.
