The friendly folks at Corvallis Battery (4th street in Corvallis) are going to pick up the car and swap in some new batteries. I can hardly wait. One of the other cars died *and* we have a nice parking place for this one now. Regardless, it's going back on the road. About the charger; Had not really explained about this earlier:. The other electric car has severe battery killing issues and we keep swapping out batteries to try and troubleshoot it. Once we got everything fixed up, it, well, actually works. Ya go out, unplug and hang the cord on the wall. Unlock the door (which work considerably better a few adjustments later) jam the keys in and switch on. Flick the switch to 'forward' pedal down and off you go. Other than that, assume no news is good news. Huh, it actually works.

Because we were showing up on Friday night and Darva had to be at Jay and Susan's for a dinner thing, Jay invited us to attend the dinner as well. I got some rather entertaining pictures at the dinner. Susan had some vintage reproduction masks that people were trying on. Doesn't Michael look like a real catch? Darva and me with Lulu. We stopped in at the Shorebird for a Mai Tai before walking along the beach. This is looking towards Diamond Head which is just barely visible behind the palm trees. Canyon Lookout while it was foggy. Dave and Michael at the Waimea. Gale and Dave at the Waimea. Gale, Dave and Kim at the Waimea. This is the road we drove down to get to the Ditch Trail for the hike that didn't quite happen. It was quite a road! Kim on the part of the Ditch Trail that we were able to navigate.
