Family Relationships: February 2011
http://familyrelations.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 21, 2011. There is a quote that my teacher has quoted a couple times in class that has really stood out to me. I can't remember who said it first but I believe it was a psychologist or therapist. Love is the degree to which we are committed to somebody's spiritual growth and well being". I absolutely love this! Do we want the best for them? I would encourage everyone to evaluate their relationships and discover what kind of love those relationships are based on. And then remember to ...

Is he looking for jobs in Idaho? How's the job hunt going? How do you feel when he is gone? How do the boys do without their daddy? How do I feel when he is gone? Davy will be home in 10 days! We are planning Remington's 1st(! At our apartment in Tioga, ND. The boys loved playing on our balcony. His very firs...

The Crocketts: June 2013
http://davidandnicholya.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 10, 2013. The Black Hole That is North Dakota. I really wish I had some pictures to share with everyone, but we forgot the camera cord in Pocatello. I'll upload them as soon as we come back. We started out living in a tiny town called Tioga and it was pretty miserable. I was sick for the first 2 weeks, I could hardly breathe and had a fever . no fun! He had this exasperated expression on his face, like we were such. Remington is also growing up TOO fast! We are so excited that he is learning...

The Crocketts: We Lost a Baby.
http://davidandnicholya.blogspot.com/2014/01/we-lost-baby.html
Saturday, January 18, 2014. We Lost a Baby. We lost a baby last October. I had a positive pregnancy test on a Monday and on that Friday, I was miscarrying. I told a few family members and friends of my m/c because I didn't want them to be hurt if I had to leave the room or if I came back into the room with swollen red eyes. I didn't want them to think I was rude if I abruptly changed the subject or became angry or started to sob in the middle of an everyday, normal conversation. My husband has been very ...

The Crocketts: December 2012
http://davidandnicholya.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 23, 2012. Our little family is doing alright. We are all healthy and happy and doing well. I am still working p/t at the Ortho. clinic and Davy is still at Franklin Building Supply. We're just enjoying the weekends and evenings we get to spend with the little ones. Jackson is growing up every day and learning new things. He makes us laugh all the time! And when I tell him I'm actually a good girl, he grins and argues back, "no - you're a good boy! Crinkly books. He loves to chew on e...

Family Relationships: January 2011
http://familyrelations.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Three to Four Generations. Today in class we talked about genograms, which are a way to map out families and the relationships within families. Genograms allow us to recognize patterns that occur within the family and are usually intergenerational. Often genograms consist of three to four generations of a family. Why map out three or four generations of a family? So today I have found myself thinking about my family and the generations before, looking for patterns. We were a...
