The author of this book is a widely known and passionate bird expert from Minnesota. I've added a link to her blog, so feel free to check it out and see all of her adventures! I was reading one of her posts that had a youtube video of people telling stories about their "spark bird". A spark bird is the species of bird that initially sparks one's interest in bird watching.

Memphis Viewed Across the Mississippi River on Easter Morning. Antonio and I went on a motorcycle ride to the west bank of the Mississippi River, opposite from Memphis. Few Memphians have witnessed this view, as it is difficult to get to a spot directly across Old Man River from the largest building. What a beautiful day, too. Perfect weather!
