On a Separate Note: March 2013

On a Separate Note. Friday, March 22, 2013. My home birth experience. Daniel's home birth must be the highlight of our stay in Cambridge. Thinking back to his birth 2 days ago, there's just so many little things to thank the Lord for. First off is the timing of his birth. Although he was 9 days early, he couldn't have chosen a better day and time. The day before his birth, Mummy managed to have a haircut (thanks, M! And even had a last minute dinner date with Daddy (thanks SA! Our first in quite a while.

On a Separate Note. Tuesday, November 01, 2011. On music and Battle hymn of the Tiger Mum. To have her kids rebel at adolescence (at one extreme), but also to have another perform in Carnegie (at the other extreme). Sometimes, I do wonder if I apply the same model to my kids, will they thank me or hate me at the end of the day? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Banyan Tree Feb 2006. On a Separate Note: Grace
http://onaseparatenote.blogspot.com/2011/12/grace.html
On a Separate Note. Friday, December 09, 2011. Our aim as parents is not merely to stock our kids heads with knowledge about God, but to inspire our kid's hearts to worship God. I've just had a very rough day with Grace and the line above is a timely reminder of my earthly responsibilities as a parent. The irony of it is that the meltdown was over her "Life Journal", which is supposed to help her learn more about God. Oh, if only God will give me more strength to love Grace. Banyan Tree Feb 2006.

On a Separate Note. Saturday, February 11, 2012. This must be one of the most compelling stories that I've read. It has all the ingredients for great story-telling. The story within a story, well developed characters set within a backdrop of a World War, the "beauty and brutality" of mankind, a bittersweet ending leaving you with loads to think about. I wanted to tell the book thief many things, about beauty and brutality. But what could I tell her about those things that she didn't already know? If two ...

The kids are always tickled when they imitate these 2 characters from the show In the Night Garden. Somehow the worried daddy kept on asking, "Are they married? Luckily the kids haven't got round to asking me that yet. Sunday, October 23, 2011. Nick Sharratt in Cambridge. Grace copying his Croco-raffe and Ele-mingo, etc. Grace having a go.
