http://allboysandsarah.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 15, 2009. There's Mickey #85. I love those little guys in the big pads! Did somebody say FOOTBALL? Here's an action shot of Sammy kicking the ball. Baby Sydney was blessed on September 6th. She decided to share with us all her beautiful singing voice and sang/screamed through most of the blessing. Thanks to everyone who came to share in the special day (grandma and grandpa Rahm, David Rahm family and the Chavez family). 4th grade, Sammy into 1st and Jonny boy is starting Kindergarten.

Tuesday, June 1, 2010. A Packed Week of Fun with Patti and Peter. Patti was excited to climb a long set of stairs and hear Italian music being played on an accordion. She felt she had truly arrived in Italy. We had warned them to beware of pick-pockets. Part of the Rome experience is riding the crowded buses. In downtown Rome we saw:. Piazza Venezia and the Moses. The Pantheon and Piazza Navona: Patti purchased an oil painting for their family room. Paul Outside the Wall. We waited around just to hear th...

Sunday, June 13, 2010. Shop 'til You DROP. This past week, Paula, Maray, Kendra, and Bari, 4 of Will’s daughters, a son-in-law, Jim, and an 18 year-old granddaughter, Maryna, visited us in Italy. We were warned ahead of time that this was going to be a shopping holiday. A shop ‘til you drop week began at the open air markets in Rome. Continued on throughout Rome, Firenze, Pisa, Cinque Terre, and Tivoli. With a fantastic show and tell every evening. Or pizza in downtown Rome. Or licking a gelato daily.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. For several months, we have been working on an appropriate gift for President and Sister Acerson: one that would remind them of Italy and be a keepsake that they would treasure. We started collecting money from the missionaries shortly after our arrival in February 2009. We have tried to keep it a secret and as far as we could tell, we were able to surprise them with our choices at our last Rome Zone Conference. President obviously felt this was a day of celebration. May you retu...

Sunday, May 9, 2010. Transfer Week and Special Dinners. The man in charge about passed out to see this big man come up to him and want to get inside the copter. Then, he couldn’t physically get both long legs inside. They shared a fun moment together laughing and talking. Sister Swenson and Sister Sommerfeldt opted to just have their picture taken together on the ground. This sweet sister (daughter) finished her mission this transfer. Friday night was date night – especially with Mother’s Day...Karen and...

Sunday, February 17, 2013. Four lovely days were spent in Paris. What a treasure trove of things to see. We took our time and enjoyed the Paris Opera House, the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triumph, Montmatre, Louvre Museum, Cathedral of Notre-Dame, and several other interesting places. Of course, the Eiffel Tower drew us back again and again. Karen and Will Sommerfeldt. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Karen and Will Sommerfeldt. View my complete profile.
