Friday, March 22, 2013. An Ode to my Grumpy. Everything changed on Mother's Day last year when I finally let Grumpy give me a good old snuggle. After that we have been fast friends. Now when I go to Grumpy's house we like to sit outside on the patio and play with Smokey the cat. Grumpy gives me a little string and has me pull it for the cat. A few weeks ago mommy caught Grumpy and I making a mess! Grumpy also loves to sneak me snacks. He know the way to my heart is through my tummy. Get well soon "Ump!

Saturday, October 18, 2014. Evan's first week was filled with her first doctor's appointment and lots of visitors. She did great at her first doctor's appointment minimal tears and she was back to her birth weight. Evan sleeps ALL day and is up a lot during the night. She is keeping Mom and Dad on their toes during this time. I will say that now that I know the saying "this too shall pass" is true it is way more bearable than it was with Ellison! Monday, October 7, 2013. 2 year check up. Ellison had her 2 year check up today and boy did she prove yet again that she is full of surprises. Ever since she was 5 months old going to the doctor was traumatic for Ellison and me! She would scream bloody murder and the doctor could barely even check anything because she was so upset. Today however she sat on the table and let them check her over and even prick her toe for a blood test not once but twice! Sunday, October 6, 2013. First day of school.

Saturday, August 2, 2014. A few highlights from 2014. Enjoyed a wonderful Valentines Day with a special breakfast of pink donuts and chocolate milk. It was super cold so we were indoors but spent many days at the library, toddler time, or museum. Visited the doctor weekly for those pesky allergy shots. Moved out of your crib into a big girl bed. Found out you were going to be a Big Sis. Grumpy came home so we could tell him the big news. Went to Disney on Ice. Your favorite friend at school was Olivia.

Friday, February 20, 2015. 4 months and fabulous. Four months has treated Evan well and her family I must say. She has become a dream baby! Evan takes long naps, sleeps through the night, and can entertain herself for so long that at times you may or may not forget she is there. Add all this up and you get the 2nd child! Here are some of Evan's stats at 4 months:. 24 1/2 inches long and in the 50th percentile. 13 lbs and 3 oz in the 28th percentile. Rolls over from tummy to back. Loves the nap mat.
