So I was able to get my grubby little hands on my Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx last week, and tried to play around with it in Mac OS X 10.4.7 on my PowerBook G4 over USB (How's that for keywords? So far, I only had to boot my PC with Windows XP once and use my old City Select map software that came with my Garmin GPS V unit to transfer more detailed street maps to the unit. Experiences with Geocaching and anything else. Friday, September 01, 2006. So, lots of things happened these past few days:. Bought a bike, specifically the Trek 7.3 FX. Took a trip to San Diego. Mainly to watch the Chula Vista. Rode said bike around various places in San Diego. Saturday: Washington Ave. to Mission Beach and back, around 25 miles. Sunday: Harbor area, around the San Diego Bay to Coronado, another 25 miles or so. One of my good friends, Jerry, had appendicitis and had to have it removed.

Today (or to be technically correct, yesterday), my position at the company I work for was eliminated. I was offered a different position with the same pay or I could take the severance package and go. This may even prove to be a boon:.
