Goat Hill Activity Reports. After a proposal to start mining at Goat Hill an effort led by Rose Chase culminated in The Nature Conservancy (TNC) purchasing the land. Susbsequently a portion of the property was sold onto the Bureau of Forestry. TNC scraped first plot of land. First Scraped Area, 28th March 2011. Second tract scraped. (25th April). Second Scraped Area, 28th March 2011. The Friends started work on restoration on the Bureau of Forestry land. Rose Trail opened (1st October).

Serpentine Areas in Cyprus. Seen on a trip to Cyprus in November 2014. Click on an image in the list below to see a higher resolution version. The Akamas Peninsula in northwest Cyprus mainly comprises limestone deposits but pillow lava is also seen in places.
