motley moms: Summer with a Two Year Old!
http://motleymoms.blogspot.com/2010/06/summer-with-two-year-old.html
Because we all have our motley moments! Sunday, June 27, 2010. Summer with a Two Year Old! Summer has been great so far! I am loving it! But I am also trying to get in to an easy routine with my 2 year old. We have some weekly events that we go to: Park outing with other moms from church, library visit to get new books, movies and play with their toys and puzzles, and a Pool party at my house (yes we have a pool). These activities are GREAT! We have a fun time doing all of them. June 29, 2010 at 7:17 AM.

motley moms: I got my degree on Facebook!
http://motleymoms.blogspot.com/2010/06/i-got-my-degree-on-facebook.html
Because we all have our motley moments! Wednesday, June 16, 2010. I got my degree on Facebook! Sorry to hijack Motley Moms to rant a little, but I actually believe this is a topic worthy of a parenting discussion. While most of us reading this did not grow up surfing the Information Super Highway, our kiddos will only know the ease of Google for finding out what they need to know. Now, with one Google search I was able to find a picture on a blog of a similar glob found in an apple juice box made by an A...

Because we all have our motley moments! Thursday, July 31, 2008. My son, the second child, never ceases to amaze me. When he turned one, I was sure walking would soon follow. He had other plans. Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen months rolled around, and still no walking. At sixteen months, on his own time, he decided to feet were better than getting around on all four. Amazingly within a week, he just moved out. He doesn't just toddle around the house, he moves! World his big sister is involved in. Me: It's i...

Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Making the Holidays Last. I love this time of year- from Labor Day until New Year's Eve, I am on Cloud 9. I love the holiday displays (and by holidays, I mean Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) and the holiday foods. A little too much! I could easily celebrate everything all at once before October even begins, so I've come up with some rules for myself to keep me from going overboard. 1 September is apple. 6 I'm not a big fan of Black Friday shopping, but I d...

Wednesday, February 4, 2009. The Great Cupcake Disaster. This was not what I pictured when I started baking these red velvet cupcakes for our MOPS fundraiser tonight:. The tops were uneven, the bottoms were lightly scorched, the papers were unrecognizable (you should be able to see cute little hearts all over them), and all of the cupcakes shrank once they cooled. It wasn't pretty. I removed the yucky papers and trimmed the cakes into better shape. Labels: In The Kitchen. The Trouble With Baking.

This Girl's Life: December 2008

Saturday, December 6, 2008. Apparently, I don't hate baking, and Happy Feast of St. Nicolas! We had some friends over yesterday to decorate gingerbread cookies, and it was a fun-filled morning that was also full of sprinkles, candies, snowy-white frosting. It was one of the mornings where we had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures.sorry about that. Now, why the gingerbread? St Nick's counterpart who travels with him carrying a bundle of switches for the not-so-nice children. And you thought th...

Because we all have our motley moments! Saturday, February 28, 2009. Hands-On Lent for Preschoolers: The Resurrection Cross. This is our son, then age 4, making his resurrection cross last year for Lent. We made a big batch of white playdough, then colored a few balls of dough for decoration. I let him fashion the cross, cut the hearts with a cookie cutter, and recreate the scene as he saw fit. How do you learn about or celebrate this religious season with your kids? Links to this post. motley moms: DEADBEAT (motley) MOM
http://motleymoms.blogspot.com/2010/07/deadbeat-motley-mom.html
Because we all have our motley moments! Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Summer is obviously in full swing with all sorts of special memory-making moments for the Motley Moms. Karly's kiss with a curb and Liz's foray into boxing (in more ways than one) just go to prove how dangerous it is to be a mom. Especially a really motley one who has police chasing her all over town or pictures of her injuries going viral on facebook. It's the stuff summer is made of.ahhhh, memories. Im glad you posted. A few minutes be...
