Monday, August 22, 2005. I haven't told anyone about this blog site, and since the last post has had zero comments I guess no one really knows/cares about it. That seems pretty fun to me. Gives me liberty to talk about anything, not just Alphino-related stuff, and vent til I burst. Sooooo, we've been booked to play Boscombe Music Festival. On Saturday 3rd September. Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The album has started! Myself and James spent our first session with Robin (our producer) recording the album on Sunday, and all I can say is wow! This guy is fantastic, really knows what he's doing, and is a cool dude to boot! We layed down some guitars, nothing was mixed or EQ'd, and I can honestly say it's already the best sounding stuff we've ever done! Wait til we get the banjo and euphonium on there! Wednesday, September 21, 2005. Well our show at The Joiners with Neileo on bass was, I would venture, an orgasmic success. Can't remember the last time I had so much fun on stage, just that feeling of not knowing how a song would go when we started playing it. terrifying, yet more alive than I've felt in months. Friday, April 14, 2006. A few things I've learned this last couple of weeks:. 1) Never mix beer and spirits. Trust me you will regret it the following day. 2) Being on the cusp of turning 27 is more scary than you'd think. 3) I am somehow unable to sing properly during the daytime. It seems my voice only starts working at about 5pm. Yes, the vocals on the album. Went to go see Pure Reason Revolution. After the gig got to meet the super-cool J. Saturday, October 15, 2005. Cautionary Tales For The Brave. Well, James has cut his hair! My entire universe has been thrown into a descent of chaos by this simple act. I have never KNOWN James without long hair, and now it's shorter than mine! He hates it, I actually think it's quite spiffy (this entire thread is useless if you don't know James, but it's my blog and no one reads it anyway, so get over it). Went to see Mew.
