As much as I recognize that these people were trying to help, would these same people tell a couple who experienced a miscarriage or a stillbirth that "he wasn't the baby meant for you"? Monday, March 23, 2015. Are You Kidding Me? Things have progressed really well the last month or so. We finished our home study, were approved, and moved on to the waiting process. We even submitted our online profile (which is now active) and our 8 profile books to our case worker. We had a productive month, and we are excited about the future (may it be sooner than we expect). Or "are you really saying this to me right now? Me for one night? We will get there.and each day brings us one step closer.

Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Failed Fertility, Failed Adoption. I don't know if I have the courage to complete this blog, but I am trying to dig deep inside to share our story. A failed adoption has opened wounds that I did not know were possible. I knew that open adoption would not be easy. There are some things in life that you can't prepare for; infertility was definitely one, and adoption is the second. After our experience last week, open adoption is at the top of that list. But, man, were we wrong!
