The Accidental Expat: April 2011

http://theaccidentalexpatriate.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Somewhere Between Germany and Portland Oregon; Neither Here Nor There. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Friday and Monday are official holidays here in Bavaria (note: Bavaria has more holidays. Than any other German State- suck it Berliners! And the weather has been freakishly fantastic- almost makes me forget what a long, brutal snowy winter we had. I took advantage of the sunshine to nip around the corner to my local wannabe Irish bar for a pint and a read in their just-opened biergarten. Tuesday, April 19, 2011.

The Accidental Expat: Happy Holidays Everybody!

http://theaccidentalexpatriate.blogspot.com/2011/12/happy-holidays-everybody.html

Somewhere Between Germany and Portland Oregon; Neither Here Nor There. Saturday, December 24, 2011. Well, lessee. last year at this time, we were sipping wine in a Paris cafe. And 2 years ago we had a singularly crappy experience in a faux Scottish bar in Rome (as I recall, our Italian waiter was incensed we tipped him "only" 20% that evening for his gag-awful service ). B and I would like to thank our readers (and all you lurkers too- hey, why not subscribe? It must be a head-spinner to think of where y...

The Accidental Expat: August 2011

http://theaccidentalexpatriate.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Somewhere Between Germany and Portland Oregon; Neither Here Nor There. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. So damn true- sing it Jimmy! More thoughts soon, as well as the future of this here blog- maybe I burn off the remainder of the embarrassingly large number of photos I never got around to posting; perhaps I shift this over to a Portland-based blog; perhaps start a new one. I'm sort of undecided at the moment. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Portland, Oregon, United States. View my complete profile.

There is someone at the wine bar with a well-rehearsed spiel about all the wines there on the table. “Here’s our Pinot Noir. As Told By Gifs. That One Time I Auditioned for A Musical…. Originally Written March 2015. And yes, this all actually happened. If you did something illegal and you’re sitting in an interrogation chair at the police station, you’re probably nervous as hell–why? You murdered the person! My nerves were soon soothed by the utter ridiculousness I felt learning choreography for the mus...
