Follow me as I try to figure this Bolivia thing out…. RoD, AP, and Grandma (Day 3). Sorry for the delay – trying to wrap up a school year, take a sub-par Master’s class (offered by my school through the prestigious Buffalo State University – not sure why in the world I signed up for it), and take care of an exigent chocolate lab tends to suck time out of a day. But I am back, and the lab is outside crying to get back in. Well, my friends, where were we? Note the long sleeved shirt and. In homage to the f...

Sean in South America. Tuesday, November 4, 2008. There once was a man from Peru. I found that limericks were a real hit with the conversation class! Right now I´m in La Paz, Bolivia, anxiously waiting to watch the election coverage tonight. I´m in a sweet hostel called The Adventure Brew Hostel. Which is a brewery hostel. A dream come true! Oh yeah, and they also have CNN English, which is perfect for the election watch! November 4, 2008 at 10:52 AM. That is one ugly dog. November 4, 2008 at 1:25 PM.

Not bad for a week! And humane process and boy did it taste good! Steep, difficult and requi...

Emma and Rod in South America. January 2009-A big adventure! Sunday, 21 June 2009. Well, I can´t believe how much we´ve seen and done since the last blog update, which wasn´t very long ago! After Santa Cruz, we cheated a bit and caught a 35 minute flight to Sucre. The alternative was a 15 hour bus journey, so not much competition there! Rod also managed to get a haircut for 5 Bolivianos (about 50p! Anyway, the market was great, full of colour and life. The women also wear quite different traditional ...

Emma and Rod in South America: March 2009
http://emmarod.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Emma and Rod in South America. January 2009-A big adventure! Friday, 27 March 2009. Cold, wet and windy, but spectacular scenery! We´ve just got back from 9 days trekking "the circuit" of the Torres del Paine, one of the most famous trekking circuits, probably in the world. We just about snuck in before the end of the season, and we had pretty varied conditions, from gorgeous to downright awful! Not only that, but half an hour in to the trek I got the "squits", shortly followed by Rod! A couple of days l...
