THE ADVENTURES OF PUDDLE JUMPING. Monday, June 27, 2011. The Schillemats had a family get-together this weekend to celebrate my great grandmother's 100th birthday. The secret to my grandmother's longeavity? I think she would tell you that it was because she danced. She says she used to listen to music when she was a little girl out in the countryside and dance with her sister. She is quite a character, and quite an amazing woman. I am glad that Lucy knows her. 5 generations of "Schillemat" women.

Not only did I get a quilt from my grandma, but it was one of her masterpieces, and made from scraps of cloth that my mother wore. I can’t begin to describe how lucky I feel that she gave it to me. I’m so proud to be descended from such a wonderful woman, and am so glad to have a daily reminder of that. May 22, 2011 at 12:15 PM.
