Friday, July 18, 2014. Iftar - July 2014. Mmmm, Lentil soup. My plate as a visual sampling. Makenna made a scrunchie to match her PJ pants and made an outfit. It was a little wild, but fits right in here with all kind of different traditional clothes. She looked quite cute. I caught her mid bite. Some of the desserts. Isaac's "I'm so full but must eat more" face. Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Catch Up from June or maybe May or a couple from even earlier, like Feb. The day Makenna got braces. 1st week of July.

Monday, December 30, 2013. Geocaching in Dubai Dec 2013. I was visiting with a friend and somehow geocaching came up- talking about summer activities probably. She had never heard of it. So I explained and showed her the app. She got excited and said, "Let's go find one, right now! So we gathered up the 7 kids and went on a walk. Dubai doesn't have nearly as many as anywhere else we have searched, but there happened to be one about a mile from her house. We found it! We logged our first one in Dubai!

Monday, June 8, 2015. Leftovers from May 2015. Still can't help snapping a picture of our baby when I catch her sleeping. She is still awfully sweet. It has gotten hot. It is unpleasant to try and run outside, but I sometimes go for a brisk walk during gymnastics. It helps when the sun goes down. In about 15 minutes, I can get over to the Ells Golf Club and it's pretty nice to walk around. We have heard they have a good restaurant from a few friends. This was a trip for laser tag with some homeschoolers.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. A Few Random Shots for December. There was an end of year Gymnastics show RIGHT after we got back. The girls had one day to practice after a two week break, then showtime! They did very well. We videoed their parts and Isaac offered to link the videos here, but for now, I'm going to show off Makenna's awesome hairdo! The one still shot I have from her solo. When Jess finally stopped coughing, she invited Raven over for the day. They swam, baked cookies and painted nails.

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Owl Pillows 29 January 2014. Here is another beloved craft day project. Oh how the girls love these days! Fun friends and creativity! Sunday, January 5, 2014. She started her birthday on the roof of the Kadirs' house as we loudly sang happy birthday to her accompanied by the largest firework display yet seen on earth. The dads then sang to her in Arabic. Cool. She IS special. Google's Doodle is dedicated to her birthday! After breakfast, she wanted to bake a cake! She has bee...

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Fit Republik Gymnastics Competition - 12 June 2015. Exactly one week after the competition in Abu Dhabi, we had another one at our new gym. LOVED the location. We left the house 10 minutes before we needed to be there. The only problem with that was that there was limited seating and we did a lot of standing for the first hour or so. Stephanie, Grace and Jack came to cheer on Jess as well- Grace made a great sign! Jess and Aleaha- haven't run out of discussion points yet.

Karen and Crew: Karen's Birthday - 15 June 2015
http://falconsflightave.blogspot.com/2015/07/karens-birthday-15-june-2015.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Karen's Birthday - 15 June 2015. We were flying out the next day so we tried to keep birthday jazz simple and combine it with useful things like packing and weighing suitcases. The girls helped make Chocolate Igloo cake now that I got a couple of necessary ingredients from Amazon. It was decent, but we are going to try again in the fall when it's cooler. We'll figure out something to celebrate or just have it for Thanksgiving. They did my age in binary candles. How old am I?

Karen and Crew: October 2013

Thursday, October 31, 2013. When eat big breakfasts and much bigger late lunches. Usually the kids are on their own for dinner after gymnastics/scouts/random activities. Often they will have leftovers, or fresh pasta, but they will make their own creations. Isaac and Jess enhanced Parathas on this particular evening. Sliced radishes from Makenna's garden. I went on a hot Halloween morning. It's not cold. Don't keep eggs in the back of the fridge. They will freeze. Thursday, October 24, 2013. Isaac for ho...

Go to the medical place and get another blood test and chest x-ray to make sure I don't have any horrible diseases. I had left at 8:45 and was back by 3. We got the other needed paperwork sorted and sent via email. I thought there was nothing more to do till it was time to pick up everything. After that thrilling experience, the starving teenager needed sustenance. We ...

Karen and Crew: November 2013
http://falconsflightave.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 30, 2013. We went over to the Rampton's house along with a bunch of other families. There was lots of food, playing and chatting. A nice night. But it still feels incomplete without family. Friday, November 29, 2013. I remember mom saying so often that you just plan for rain in Germany and then if it happens to be dry, enjoy the peasant surprise. It’s the polar opposite in Dubai. Sunglasses are permanently perched on my face to combat the constant sun. After setting up camp and making ...
