The Adverbs: June 2014

Last week Andrew came home singing some of the 50 States saying he was trying to learn them at school. A day or two later he had them all down. I love to hear him sing it (and he does ALL the time, sometimes I don't think he even realizes he is). Posted by rick and cheryl. The Peanut Gallery Says: (0). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Adverbs: Heading to Wales
http://theadverbs.blogspot.com/2015/01/heading-to-wales.html
We are leaving the big snowflakes. And poor purple flowers trying to survive the snow. For warm, sunny Wales. Okay, so it won't be warm and sunny.well, maybe a bit sunny. But it will be a fun change of scenery. Posted by rick and cheryl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Heard at our house. A: "Where is the table to the Thanksgiving toy? E: "Over here by bookshelf." I guess the fact that we voted yesterday has got him in a great political mindset, however the sign in our yard says we support the other guy. :). What makes him one?
The Adverbs: August 2013
http://theadverbs.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
It's our last night in our house. We played with glow sticks tonight as a farewell celebration. It was a lot of fun. Eliza looks like a minion, well, a little. Posted by rick and cheryl. The Peanut Gallery Says: (0). Joseph asked me if the commandments apply to flies. He's very concerned for my soul after yesterday's and today's carnage. On a side note, it's AMAZING how big our house feels EMPTY and the echo-the kids are totally digging that! Posted by rick and cheryl. The Peanut Gallery Says: (0). Poste...
The Adverbs: Bead in the Nose
http://theadverbs.blogspot.com/2015/02/bead-in-nose.html
Bead in the Nose. Surgery for a BEAD! I started to get a bit worried then because if all we were going to do was try to suck it out, that bead wouldn't be coming out easily. The nurse just laughed and said this was the 3rd time this week they had to get something out of a little ones nose. Yay kids. None of the older kids had ever tried before, so I thought we were good. Nope, not so much. We stopped at the flower patch walking back to our car. Happy to be breathing normally! Posted by rick and cheryl.
The Adverbs: Horsey and H-Choc
http://theadverbs.blogspot.com/2015/02/horsey-and-h-choc.html
Lucy and I got bundled up and headed out to Ilkley for hot chocolate with Sue (a lady in the ward) to check up with her and see how she was doing. She picked a little cafe with a fun coloring station, kitchen, and horse for Lucy to play with. She had a blast! And she really loves her pink tutu at the moment, wears it daily. She was quite sad that we couldn't take the horse home with us, but was happy that we could come back to play with it later. Posted by rick and cheryl. Heard at our house. Root for th...

Posted by rick and cheryl. The Peanut Gallery Says: (0). Andrew will survive here. There is much yogurt.and it's cheaper (and yummier) than it is at home. So that is a huge plus! Posted by rick and cheryl. The Peanut Gallery Says: (0). They took the kids over to Crepes and Cream to get something to eat while we talked with a few agents and then we met them there. It was delicious! I got a chicken, avocado, chipotle chili, and rocket one. So good! The kids all got ice cream and more ice cream. :). After m...

Park Playing in Menston. Lexie loves playing at the park, it's too bad she's getting a bit too big for some toys. It's too bad there is school again tomorrow, I love days like this. The Adverbs: COWS
http://theadverbs.blogspot.com/2015/02/cows.html
Although the cow is leaving now, Lucy enjoyed getting up close and personal with the cows by Joy Hall's house. She also really loved tormenting Joys' poor cat who quickly scattered for safety. It's sure fun seeing Lucy's eyes get so excited and light up with things that delight her, and gratefully there's plenty that delights her! Posted by rick and cheryl. The Adverbs 2007
Saturday, December 29, 2007. We got new furniture! Obviously, the room still needs a little work, but this is a huge improvement! Thanks for the help moving it all in, Karl, Michael, and Matthew. Now on to the next project. Posted by rick and cheryl. Tuesday, December 25, 2007. Then, we had a yummy breakfast and settled in for presents. Andrew started to get a bit fussy, so he missed most of the fun-but he took a great nap! It was a great day. Unfortunately, Rick's big present didn't come in time-but...
The Adverbs 2008
Monday, December 29, 2008. For Family Home Evening we talked about goals. Lexie and Joseph had fun helping make our family goals for the year as well as some for themselves. One of our family goals is to actually read the Book of Mormon all the way through. (We generally make it to 2 Nephi but we're gonna get it all done this year! Lexie wants to learn to do a cartwheel. Of course, Joseph wants to learn to do one, too. Check back in 2010 to see how we did. Posted by rick and cheryl. What A Nice Dad!

The Adverbs 2011
Saturday, December 31, 2011. Blustery End to 2011. Remember a few months back when we had lots of wind and it blew cracked our fence? Today I was folding laundry and was thinking, "Man, it's really windy today" and then I heard this crack/crash sound at the front of the house. All I thought was since it didn't sound like a window breaking that I hope that whatever hit the house didn't cause any damage. Posted by rick and cheryl. Thursday, December 29, 2011. The Adverbs 2012
Monday, December 31, 2012. Rick and Doug went skiing/snowboarding today and the rest of us stayed home and played, decorated, and made lots of yummy appetizers for tonight. Heather saw this fun idea to decorate the Christmas tree as a New Year's tree. So the kids had a lot of fun working on that. I think it's a tradition we'll adopt as well. There was much playing of Just Dance Disney with all of the cousins. It was so fun to watch them have a blast. The party favors which were also on the tree. Last nig...
