Letters from a Libra: January 2013
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Thursday, January 24, 2013. I kind of started a puppy sitting business by accident. I was looking for a side job to help supplement my writing gig and watching a puppy while writing seemed like a fantastic way to double-dip. Mind you, I do still have my other job. This thing was spinning out of control. Links to this post. Friday, January 18, 2013. This is what was left in the morning of the first "winter storm" to hit Durham. Maya took on...

Letters from a Libra: August 2012

Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Takes Some Getting Used To. Naturally, moving to the south from the northeast takes some getting used to. If you move in the summer like we did, there is the heat. It might surprise you how quickly 89 degrees begins to feel temperate. The hardest part of this season to get used to is that it looks. Along those same lines, people are very polite. I know, I know- that sounds horrible. Lastly, there's God. He's...

Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Wednesday, October 17, 2012. The Odd Age of 29. I forgot it was my birthday this morning until I saw the messages on Facebook. I think it's the third year in a row that's happened. I must be getting old. One year before the big 3-0 and I'll be by myself on a plane to Vegas in a few hours to spend my birthday working. Womp. I'll have to have a big party next year, and the Obamas are invited. Links to this post. Sunday, October 14, 2012.

Letters from a Libra: 30/30: Seafood Sunday
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2013/10/3030-seafood-sunday.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Sunday, October 27, 2013. I grew up on the coast, and if you ask me, there's no such thing as too much seafood. It was our first time broiling bacon wrapped scallops, which we enjoyed for lunch. Then later, our friends cooked us a delicious birthday dinner of baked brie with apple butter, barbecue shrimp, and apple crisp. I think we hit all of Tommie's favorite food groups today: bacon, cheese, and seafood. Labels: 30 Days of Turning 30.

Letters from a Libra: 30/30: Floats Between Failures
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2013/10/3030-floats-between-failures.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. 30/30: Floats Between Failures. We couldn't decide what to do last night after dinner. We tried finding a highly-rated Mexican frozen treat shop but failed, so we landed at The Parlour. With a root beer float made with malted cinnamon ice cream. They do make really good, creamy and flavorful handmade ice cream here. Labels: 30 Days of Turning 30. Things to do in Durham. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 30/30: ...

Letters from a Libra: December 2012
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Saturday, December 29, 2012. Cutest. Houses. Ever. Once we started walking down some of the small side streets of downtown Charleston, I couldn't stop. There were just so many adorable homes and perfectly manicured gardens to look at. It wasn't just down one street, it was the whole area that was just so perfect. Money helps, of course. Links to this post. Thursday, December 27, 2012. The truth is, we needed it. We haven't had a good v...

Letters from a Libra: July 2013
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Thursday, July 11, 2013. Radio Silence. And A New Blog. This past year kicked my ass. Actually, it's been a gradual build-up of a few hard years cumulating to this final boot in the butt. While writing helps me sort through emotions and hardships, it didn't seem productive/fair to subject the cyber world to my woes, so I didn't write much at all. Figured out it's a hernia. Here is a link to the article about diagnosing hernias in women.

Letters from a Libra: 30 Days of Turning 30 Recap
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2013/10/30-days-of-turning-30-recap.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Thursday, October 31, 2013. 30 Days of Turning 30 Recap. It's not easy celebrating a birthday for a whole month. I think it falls under the category of "too much of a good thing." I do, however, think it was good for me and Tommie to push ourselves to get out more, keep track of local events, try new things, and to be more conscious of how we spend our days- before we're so old we can't remember anymore. Letters from a Libra: November 2012
http://lettersfromalibra.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Letters from a Libra. Creative, quirky, and naturally indecisive. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. I'm not sure where the time is going, but it's going. Before it gets too cold to sand and paint outside, I've been trying to finish up some DIY projects, like redoing this $50 drop-leaf dining table we Craigslisted from a woman we are pretty sure was on drugs (more reason to Craigslist in two's). The once dark dining nook when we first moved here is looking a lot brighter. Links to this post. Things to do in D...
