Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. Https:/ janetsylviegoodman.wordpress.com. I went to meet my daughter for breakfast this morning. She arrived a few minutes before me. As we stood in line waiting for a table, she pointed to something on the sidewalk. “Do you see that? Pick up your garbage. Always keep a condom handy. Have no shame. How pathetic would I be? It quickly became clear to me that no one else on that trail gave me a moment’s thought. No one seemed to look at me, assess ...

Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. I’m almost unpacked. In the past three years I have moved from MB to SR to MV and back to SR. A lot of packing, unpacking, lugging, trashing, swearing, sweating and struggling. Along the way, I’ve ditched a husband and gained perspective. May 3, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Help Wanted | What Else?
https://janetsylviegoodman.wordpress.com/2014/05/06/help-wanted
Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. Have I mentioned I am unemployed? By choice. By hubris? Every morning I wake up, turn on the radio and hear about the nation’s unemployed. There aren’t any jobs. And I elected to walk away from mine. Leaving the job is part of my new grab life by the balls attitude. If I’m going to be 50 and divorced then I really need to be happy professionally. I need to be fulfilled by my work for the next 25 years, not driven crazy by it. May 6, 2014.

Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. It shouldn’t be 100 degrees in May – anywhere on earth. But it is. And I sweat. Don’t get me wrong; I love summerwhen it is summer. You know, mid-June to late August. But spring is not supposed to feel like this. Especially when I don’t have access to a swimming pool. May 16, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. 4th and A | What Else?
https://janetsylviegoodman.wordpress.com/2014/05/05/4th-and-a-2
Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. I’m sitting at a dreaded Starbucks this evening because we still don’t have internet in the house (it’s technically a flat but that seems so pretentious.) Did manage to get the TV hooked up today, my first television in three years. But here I am, newly divorced, rid of most of my shame about that marriage and ready to go home and watch some god damn TV. May 5, 2014. One thought on “ 4th and A. Who got the TVs in the divorce? Mother Mother | What Else?
https://janetsylviegoodman.wordpress.com/2014/05/12/mother-mother
Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Ellen Goodman on 4th and A. The day after Mother’s Day and all is quite sweet. It’s been nearly 30 years since I lost my own mother and nearly 21 years since I became a mother and the tide has definitely turned. I feel more like a woman who is a mother than a motherless woman. My identity is no longer about the loss of my mother, but about the joy of my children. How nice. We grew up to be three exceptional women, too. May 12, 2014. One thought on “ Mother Mother.
