Open Seas: Passengers vs. the Airline Industry
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/12/passengers-vs-airline-industry.html
Monday, December 21, 2009. Passengers vs. the Airline Industry. Wow, this administration did something I might actually agree. With MIGHT. We'll have to see how it plays out, though. There could be unforeseen consequences with this. The government imposed a three-hour time limit on airplanes delayed on tarmacs. But I do feel a little better about flying, now that there is less chance that I would be one of those poor people stuck in that traveling nightmare! Posted by Kristi at 6:01 PM. Z is for Zest.

Friday, March 05, 2010. Another Letter on the Health Care Debate. This letter from the AUL (Americans United for Life) website lays out the abortion concern in the health care package much better than I could ever do with what I know just from debate on TV. Go here. To send this letter to your Senators and Representatives:. Mar 5, 2010. Hart Senate Office Building, Room 717. Constitution Avenue and 2nd Street, NE. Washington, DC 20510-2507. Open Seas: Y is for Yeast
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/07/y-is-for-yeast.html
Monday, July 13, 2009. Y is for Yeast. It is definitely on my list though, to attempt making bread with yeast. This Rustic Country Bread. Looks like a nice recipe to start with. That recipe uses bread flour, which would give me practice with yet another kind of flour to add to my repertoire. :). Yeast seems to give you a better variety of the types of breads you can bake. Another recipe that is a bit more savory is this one for Feta and Tomato Focaccia. Some more I'm bookmarking:. Welcome to Open Seas.

Open Seas: V is for Vanilla Bean
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/07/v-is-for-vanilla-bean.html
Friday, July 10, 2009. V is for Vanilla Bean. Who doesn't love Cheesecake Factory's Vanilla Bean Cheesecake? Then I bet these Vanilla Bean Cheesecake Bars. Would be almost as good:. But have you ever baked. Anything with an actual vanilla bean? I sure haven't, which is one of the reasons why I am intimidated by this recipe for Real Vanilla Bean Buttercream. That looked pretty simple (it's combined here with a recipe for cream cheese bread pudding, which sounds a-maz-ing! Posted by Kristi at 6:06 PM.

Open Seas: Weekly Cookie: Easter Cookies
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2010/03/weekly-cookie-easter-cookies.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. Weekly Cookie: Easter Cookies. Well, I didn't keep up my theme of weekly cookies too long, but I wanted to post this cookie idea because I have lemon extract left from the lemon coolers and I have buttermilk, so I may just give these Lemon Buttermilk Easter Cookies. I'm going to do the lemon coolers again with my sister, and I'll use the leftover lemon extract for these. If I get time before Easter. :). Posted by Kristi at 10:49 PM. Welcome to Open Seas. http://openseas.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 26, 2005. The good thing about working till 7:30 is that the phones REALLY slow down, and plus I'm getting paid a shift differential of 10% for the time I work after 6:00.
