A Stout Story: Easter
http://astoutstory.blogspot.com/2015/04/easter.html
Friday, April 10, 2015. We had a great Easter this year. Emma Grace and Caroline both can tell you what we are celebrating at Easter (that Jesus was punished for our sins, died on a cross and buried, and rose from the tomb) and what it all means (that we are saved and will one day live in heaven forever). I'm so thankful for our church that helps us teach those things! The Thursday before Easter, Caroline had her school Easter party and egg hunt. I love that she gets to do these things now! They started ...

A Stout Story: Emma Grace is 6!
http://astoutstory.blogspot.com/2015/06/emma-grace-is-6.html
Thursday, June 25, 2015. Emma Grace is 6! Today you are SIX years old! That just blows my mind! This year has felt huge, marked by lots of big life events. You started Kindergarten and really excelled, you got your ears pierced, you worked so hard in Awana to memorize a bible verse each week, you asked Jesus into your heart, you learned to read, I could go on and on. We are so, so proud of the little girl you are becoming. Happy Birthday Emma Grace Peace Out Love Ya Scooter. June 26, 2015 at 4:59 AM.

A Stout Story: March 2015
http://astoutstory.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. If you recall, February was rough for us. But March was better! No one stole our credit cards! Only two kids got (mildly) sick! And it was easily fixed with a (uninsured) trip to the doctor for some (uninsured) antibiotics for an ear infection and Zyrtec for allergies! Something special for Emma Grace (more to come) and Charlotte's 1st birthday! And here's what I've learned:. March, I've enjoyed you. Monday, March 30, 2015. Charlotte's 1 year check up. I had to take this picture ...

A Stout Story: May 2015

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The big feelings of motherhood. Plan is better than the one they always dreamed of. Pregnancy, newborns, motherhood, it's so much and so many things. A lot of those things conflict. Like the things that are beautiful and wonderful, yet also awful and overwhelming. It's just weird. In some ways, I feel relieved to be out of the pregnancy state. I never loved. We can't be done! I've felt the last kick I'll ever feel in my belly? I've seen the last positive pregnancy test? She asks ...

April 2002: Debbie is in Panama City Beach, FL with Campus Crusade for Christ for spring Break. Her friend Alice introduces her to a tall friend on a bridge in the resort where we are staying. Debbie cordially greets him and goes about her merry way. August 2002-Fall 2003: Becky (Debbie’s twin) keeps talking about Brian Lowther, her friend. She points him out in crowds (“the tall guy”), shows Debbie pictures, etc. and she has no clue who Becky is talking about. July 2005: Brian and Debbie spend their fir...

Oh the places you’ll go…. October 22, 2012. Proud of my husband, today! He started his new job this morning. And while he sure does miss the great folks he worked with at DENR he has uncomplainingly stepped into this new role. We are sure it will probably mean more hours, longer work days, fewer vacation days and less flexibility. But I am thankful he’s willing to make that sacrifice for our family. It also means a more formal dress code, too! Looks like a shopping spree might be on our horizon! Email (A...

Just another WordPress.com site. The Hortons came to be August 6, 2005. We met in Dakar, Senegal in 2004 while we were both serving on short term mission trips. We got married in Wilmington, NC and on our 1 yr. anniversary we were headed back to West Africa. Africa was our home for 2 years and then we returned to North Carolina. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
