As of a couple hours ago, I have now officially applied to post-docs in. Austin (two different post-docs, in fact). I also tossed my CV in the ring to a couple national labs. If I don't hear from other places, I'm probably going to help write a proposal to get funding at a non-government/university lab in Berkeley, which would be tremendously awesome. Okay, so I realize that I've been majorly down lately, but I think things are starting to turn around a bit. Traveling for Thanksgiving helped, and the people I've contacted about post-docs have generally been positive, though funding is another issue. Here's my potential job tally so far:. Post-doc in Germany (heard back w/ questions about my bachelors, which is a good sign).
