Monday, June 30, 2014. What a scenic spot, less than 5 minutes from home. This is the largest salt water inland lake in the Perth Region. Its perimiter is lined with these beautiful salt water tolerant Paperbark trees. Beatiful contrast with the water and sky. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Coffee outing to Yahava; a favorite of ours in the Swan Valley. Mainly went here to test the Aeropress coffee maker, but I was not really impressed. Basically it tasted like average filter coffee. :-(. Despite what people say, for a balance of taste and convenience, we still rate the Nespresso system. It is a little pricey, but as a mate of mine always says "every sport has it's injuries". It is now between the Nespresso EN520R. And the Breville Youbrew. We simply can't wait.

Friday, April 17, 2015. The grass is in! To celebrate this (great) milestone a new Weber and outdoor setting was acquired. After battling the Kwinana Freeway 4pm traffic, and building the Weber and then the outdoor set (first the wrong way around, then the correct way) we finally sat down to just chill. By that time it was dark though, so for now you'll have to trust me when I say the lawn is in :-). Heatbeads burning and the Weber ready for it's maiden braai. How blessed are we? Fill-flash helped a bit.

Friday, June 26, 2009. A sad day for all us "woollies". Yes, today is indeed a very sad day for me, and I am sure many others. An icon of the wool industry is closing it's doors today. The hope is that this will not be forever, but times are tough. Wool no longer has the market share it once enjoyed and flock number are dramatically smaller than 10 or 20 years ago. Monday, March 15, 2010. For a change we spent most of the time at home, relaxing. I even took a 2 hour afternoon nap with Eugene on Saturday. Thursday, March 11, 2010. Knives, fishing and a chook on the Weber. Life has been hectic of late. I spend typically 1 hour a week on my home PC. Criminal! Anyway, I had a couple of minutes spare, so here is a quick update. Above: The spot where my dad and I go fishing on Friday's. My dad and I head out for some angling every Friday at about 5pm. We've had some big seas to deal with lately, so the fishing has been poor. My dad caught a snapper ( 700g) last week. Yep, I am still a huge Weber fan. Mmmm!
