Asperger's Illustrated: December 2013
http://aspergersillustrated.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Asperger's Resources For Adults. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. I know many people, especially parents and peers, sometimes have trouble remaining patient with those of us on the spectrum as we learn to navigate the world around us. When we become adults, however, we often have trouble doing the exact same thing with our neurotypical peers - it's just part of the human condition! Empathetic and we can't handle other people's emotions very well. Anyone else have a similar problem? Thank you in advance!

Asperger's Illustrated: August 2013

Asperger's Resources For Adults. Saturday, August 10, 2013. The Most Difficult Week I've Had In Years. This has been a very trying week for me. On Tuesday morning, I woke up to find out that my grandfather had a stroke whilst visiting my aunt up in Rochester. We're five hours away from him right now, and the stroke was very severe and we're not sure how much he'll be able to recover, if at all. This could be the beginning of the end, so I've been bracing for losing him for the past several days. I've cha...

Asperger's Illustrated: Anxiety is a cruel mistress
http://aspergersillustrated.blogspot.com/2015/03/anxiety-is-cruel-mistress.html
Asperger's Resources For Adults. Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Anxiety is a cruel mistress. I haven't written here in a rather long time due to graduate school, and I sincerely apologize for that. I was just so busy finishing up my final semester and balancing that with an archival internship and my part-time job that I haven't had much time for anything else! Is something wrong with how I interview when I do get those rare opportunities? Why don't employers want me? Does ANYONE want me? I can be reached at ...

Asperger's Illustrated: November 2013
http://aspergersillustrated.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Asperger's Resources For Adults. Saturday, November 30, 2013. Post-Thanksgiving Dispatch From The Front. I survived yet another Thanksgiving. I really have no idea how I make it every year, but I do. I do have some potentially exciting news coming up if it works out, at least, but I can't spoil things just yet because we don't know how official it is. What I can say is that it involves my art and I might just be getting a break here, so fingers crossed! Saturday, November 16, 2013. Luckily, that hold is ...

Asperger's Illustrated: July 2013
http://aspergersillustrated.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Asperger's Resources For Adults. Tuesday, July 23, 2013. I've been seeing my therapist for years now - I first met him in the summer of 2009, and then we resumed sessions in the summer of 2011 and I've been going ever since. He's been a wonderfully positive influence on my life, and I've definitely taken what I've learned and worked on in his office to heart. It's had a new impact on my life, though, one I didn't think was going to come about - I've started doing my best to bring those teachings to others.

My Walk With Tyler: March 2016
http://mywalkwithtyler.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Ty's Personal Vacation Stories. My previous 3 posts shared a lot of advice on how to execute a successful vacation to Disney. As you can tell, we have done that a few times with Tyler and have come away with a lot of solid tips. Many of those tips could be true for any vacation you plan. He loves to watch the fireworks. And it was neat to watch the people around him watching him have a great time and smiling. So I will end the Disney saga. Be well and good luck. Tom. In the other...

I want to start a whole new blog, but life gets in the way. Then again that’s not true either – we have time for what we prioritize, whether we admit it or not. So I’ll be writing more here, with all the other work going on, even if the new blog(s) of mine must wait. Boo does take top priority, after all. Wanna take a bath.

Asperger's Resources For Adults. Friday, September 13, 2013. In Which I Attend A Panel Discussion In My Career Field. Last night, I went into the city (Manhattan for you non-locals - we all just refer to it as 'the city' and call the other boroughs by their real names) for an archival panel discussion on digitization of archival holdings and how it changes the research practices of historians and others. I'll be honest, though - I was terrified to go. Overall, it was actually a successful evening for me&...
