Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Messy berry bundt cake. This recipe, from food blogger wizard, Smitten Kitchen. Is one of my all-time favourites. Anyway, I have to admit to something. I fucked up this cake. Seriously, it's one ugly, motherfucker. The problem is that because of my impatience, I flipped the cake over on the pan too early, when it was still quite hot, and the top layer of the cake ripped right off and stuck to the bundt pan. Not just because the leaves turn colour and I have an excuse to buy new clothes (although that's a big part of it) but because I love the foods that get consumed during these months leading up to winter. Fall means it's almost Thanksgiving which means lots of pumpkin pie and squash and turkey and ham and stuffing and mashed potatoes and bottles of red wine. Yields about 28 muffins. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tsp baking powder and soda. 189; tsp mace.
