Monday, October 5, 2015. Signs That Keep Me Safe. Last week we learned all about the letter B! We made Bumble Bees for our Alphabet Journal, Bats for our bulletin board for October, and looked at our names to see who had a "B". We had our first visit from Father Erik and he read the book How Do Dinosaurs Stay Safe? To kick off our lessons on staying safe at school and at home. We learned all about what an emergency is and when we should call 9-1-1 for help. Happy birthday to these two big 5 year olds!

Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Winter Wishes and Eskimo Kisses. So far, 2017 has had some crazy weather! Warm days, cold days, days full of sunshine, and others filled with rain. In PreK we crossed our fingers for one big snow but in case that didn't happen we turned our classroom into an indoor winter wonderland! We "dressed" in our warmest winter coats and decorated our bulletin board for the month, "Sending you warm winter wishes and eskimo kisses from PreK B! All of those winter wishes for snow paid off!

Monday, September 21, 2015. We have been very busy baby Wabbits the last two weeks! We celebrated the kick off of the HSS Football season with Red and White Day and cheering on our teams at the first Pep Rally of the year. We loved seeing all of the big kids, especially the cheerleaders' stunt and tumble routine! Charlotte's mom got to enjoy the pep rally with us! We learned about a new shape, the square! We practiced identifying and drawing squares on the smart board. One afternoon we had a taste test!

Monday, February 1, 2016. When we returned from Christmas break the temperatures were extra chilly but we had no precipitation, leaving us all wishing for snow! With no snow outside we decided to decorate our room to be our own winter wonderland. We made snow angels for our bulletin board. We built snowmen and snow women for our cabinets. We colored toboggans to hang from our ceiling. We made portraits of us catching snowflakes. Finally. all of those wishes came true and we had our own real snow day!

Saturday, August 27, 2016. This week we learned about the things that make us special! We learned about our special characteristics, abilities, and talents. We started by listing thing that we can do that make us special. We can jump off of the diving board, do a somersault, and dance silly. We have some very talented Hoots! God made me. God loves me. Friday, January 15, 2016. What a fun month we had together in December as we prepared for Christmas! One of my favorite traditions in the month of December is when Mrs. Dobbins reads The Night Before Christmas to the PreK and Kindergarten classes. Monday, October 31, 2016. Last week we learned all about the letter F! We shared photos of our families and sorted our families into groups based on the number of members. We learned about things families need and one of those things in shelter! We colored pictures of our homes and made our own neighborhood on our display board.
