Thursday, December 31, 2009. Today was the 1st run in these. New Years Eve seems like the appropriate day to take the maiden run. I took it slow on the 1st day.only 2 miles and on the treadmill. The good news: I ran 2 miles on the treadmill. PAIN FREE! This is the first time in probably the last 15 years I've been able to run on the treadmill without the usual pain that feels like a bread knife running along the side of my legs. trust me, it's not fun. Pace: slow slow slow. Still Hopeful in San Diego.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010. A 3 hour tour. The little walk along the lagoon on Sunday turned into a great 3 hour hike along the San Elijo lagoon. we walked from the trailhead to pretty much Olivenhain and back. My feet felt great and the weather was perfect with sun and light ocean breeze. I was still a bit sore from the long run on Saturday but i have to say the VFFs were good. I think I'll be wearing these when I hike Mt Whitney in July.or for at least a big portion of it. Still Hopeful in San Diego.

Saturday, January 30, 2010. Easy 6 miles and no bread knife. The other place where I have noticed the change is when wearing my heels at work. I feel that I am more balanced in the 2 or 3 inch heels than I was before, possibly from the improved muscles in my feet. I try to avoid the heels when I can but I am a girl after all ;-). Thursday, April 22, 2010. Ragnar Relay this weekend. This weekend (Fri and Sat) I'll be running the ragnar relay in SoCal with 10 of my co-workers. yes we are crazy. http:/ www.ragnarrelay.com/losangeles/index.php. Is the link to the event. This is a much bigger event than I imagined as last year there were 100 team, this year there are 282 teams signed up. That's great! There are two of us who are wearing our VFFs. So excited! The newest member of the Vibram family is on it's way to San Diego and right to my doorstep. the running specific version of the five fingers is called the Bikala and I have ordered this awesome pair of pink and orange colors. guess you won't miss these when I'm flying down the street.
