The only thing slightly wrong about today's adventures is the fact that it was warm enough for both children to be running around in shorts and t-shirts. Not the typical fall attire that comes to mind when I think of fall memories growing up. But, hey. We're in the south now and it's 80 degrees here at the end of October! A smile as bright as the sun. That's a hug, honestly.not a choke hold! And will most definitely be making it on my favorites list.

Sunday, November 18, 2012. I am so incredibly lucky. I have so many fond memories of my great grandparents growing up. I remember visiting my Great Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt's house. Great Grandma Schmidt would always give us a dollar or two when we said good bye and Great Grandpa Schmidt would squeeze our cheeks and kiss us on the forehead. Sunday, June 30, 2013. Sunflowers: Weeks 7, 8 and 10. I've gotten a little off track with documenting our sunflowers this summer. I've been getting the weekly pictures taken, just not finding the time to upload them. We did miss pictures last week (week 9). We were working out in the yard and by the time we were done and ready to take pictures, it was starting to rain and thunder, and we had a bit of a fire ant problem. Monday, October 24, 2011. Maggie's Preschool hosted a Trike-a-Thon to support St. Jude's Children's hospital. The week leading up to the trike-a-thon, the teachers taught bike safety. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Animarl adventures, part 2. Waco has a great little zoo that is a short drive away and very reasonably priced. It is 52 acres and has typical zoo animals and then a large section dedicated to Texas native animals and wildlife. Uncle Ryan accompanied us, he said he hasnt been to a zoo in like 15 plus years! The weather was nice, but I am little red faced this evening (i brought sunscreen, but neglected to put it on! They are definately interesting animals! Animal adventures part 1.

Friday, June 8, 2012. Anyone with a little girl is all too familiar with Pinkalicious, a series of children's books where the main character loves pink and pink cupcakes and eventually turns pink! Killeen's community theater put on a musical production of Pinkalicious. We had a girl's night out and all went to the play. The girls enjoyed it so much! Sophie was devastated when it was over! Friday, June 8, 2012. Highlights from Maggie's first year of school. Maggie with her best friend, Isabel. The school had a week of Olympics. They kids helped make the tie-dyed shirts. At the Family Picnic. They find so much joy in running! Maggie participated in her first graduation ceremony! They wore caps and gowns and the ceremony was followed by a reception for the families.
