Sunday, November 30, 2014. Things That Go Boom. So here's the deal. I may own an absurd amount of Disney movies, but when push comes to shove, I really just want to watch stuff blow up (bonus points if there are car chases involved.I really like those). Somehow, I went 28 years without seeing a single Die Hard. I started thinking about the other blow 'em up movies I've enjoyed and put together this list:. What are your favorite explosive action flicks? I'd love to hear suggestions! It's been quite a mont...

Monday, May 26, 2014. You Really Ought to Give Iowa a Try! Happy Memorial Day to one and all! I took Friday off and had an extra long weekend of fun, friends, and fantastic weather. We made it to Iowa - HOORAY! Our lovely bachelorette, popping some champagne in the limo. All dolled up for a night out in Des Moines. After all the fun, it's hard to think of going back to work tomorrow. But the promise of a 4-day week makes it a bit less painful :). 3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts. While I love her...

Sunday, July 27, 2014. A Book A Day Keeps Reality Away. It’s summertime, and the living is busy. I am in disbelief that we are already at the end of July. I’m sorry, wasn’t there JUST 12 feet of snow on the ground? I definitely make the most of the delightful MN summer months, but the tradeoff is that I have a frizzy (curly hair humidity = bad news) and frazzled look about me. Worth it. The Art of Racing in the Rain. Where'd You Go, Bernadette? The Object of Beauty. Still left on my list:. 4 The Paris Wi...

My "Quote"- ables: It's Alright
http://myquoteables.blogspot.com/2015/03/its-alright_2.html
Monday, March 2, 2015. It's supposed to snow tomorrow, but once March hits, spring is on my brain. I looked at the extended forecast and it's supposed to hit 40's by the weekend and 50 by early next week. Yes. Please. The last month has been busy, but delightful. Roomie and I headed to Duluth the first weekend in February for a reunion with some of our high school pals. It was the kind of weekend you hope to repeat on a regular basis (except maybe with a tad more sleep next time! Cat in the hat kebabs.

Sunday, August 17, 2014. Marching to the Beat of a Different Drum. While I didn't want to talk about where I live, my relationship status, and my job over and over, the highlight of the weekend was hearing about the coolness factor of those I graduated with. I loved hearing about people's happiness, successes, journeys, creative outlets, and uniqueness. We are all a little bit quirky and that is definitely worth celebrating. Lip Sync Battle: Jimmy Fallon and Emma Stone. How Will I Know. Warning: This son...

Life with a toddler, a preschooler, a kindergartner, and a sweet, large puppy. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Fiona is 4 1/2. Fiona will be starting full-time preschool in the fall. She is crazy excited to go to school and "be big." I'm having trouble believing that the baby I had yesterday. Is old enough for preschool! She reminded me tonight that the Easter Bunny brought them socks last year and that she hopes the Bunny does that again this year. Seriously - how does she remember that? I got quite an eye ro...

Life with a toddler, a preschooler, a kindergartner, and a sweet, large puppy. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. No wonder we can never get out of the house on time! The middle and the little. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Mr Declan is six weeks old today. It feels like he's been here much longer (in a good way). We're starting to settle in to this routine - just in time for it to disappear in three quick weeks when I head back to work. (Wow - that was depressing to type! Sunday, July 20, 2014. Declan's awake time is b...

Life with a toddler, a preschooler, a kindergartner, and a sweet, large puppy. Friday, February 27, 2015. The girls have been cracking us up this week and I wanted to make sure I didn't forget a few of their best comments! Q: I don't have a scarf on my butt. S: A scarf on your butt? Q: Yeah. A scarf. Like Buggy have on her butt. Q: Yep. A scarf. Buggy, I touch your scarf? F ( playing with a teddy bear. S: Bugs, what would you think about going to preschool instead of going to A's everyday? Especially wit...

Life with a toddler, a preschooler, a kindergartner, and a sweet, large puppy. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Look closely - the tooth is in. It was a big weekend for the men of the family! The sisters are really proud of his new teeth and are convinced that he can now eat everything - just like them! We are also super excited about the "two-fer" tooth popping. The girls were notorious for getting teeth one at a time - except for Q's four molars at once. And no one would describe that as a picnic! Every year...
