Monday, May 25, 2015. Bubbles of Fun for Annie's 2nd Birthday. We hosted Annie's party at our house one week after it was originally scheduled because our sweet girl wasn't feeling too well the day before her party. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Weekend in New Braunfels. I make a photo book every 4 months that includes pictures and a little journaling about our family's life. As I looked through the book from January-April 2010 (when Cade was Annie's age), I realized that he and I traveled a lot more during Chance's powerlifting weekends than the kids and I do now! Tuesday, August 26, 2014. It is the fall semester, so we are ready for some football! The preparation actually started back in July with Chance teaching Cade how to draw football plays. Then, the first week of August was football camp at College Station High School. Elementary students got to attend in the morning, and it was good, sweaty fun! Saturday, March 28, 2015. Spring Break 2015 - Cougar Send Off. Our Spring Break is always begins and ends with powerlifting! Chance and Coach Frashure took 11 girls to the State Powerlifting meet in Corpus Christi near the end of the break. Usually, kids get a big send off at school if they are headed to a state competition, but since these girls were leaving during a holiday, we took it upon ourselves to enhance their send off! The next morning, we went up to the school to officially wish the girls luck!

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. At the end of June, we were starting to get really excited about the development of Camp Locklear! The counselors all got together for a work weekend, and we had them over to our house for hot dogs and games. Sunday, June 7, 2015. The last week of school was full of extra fun days for the kids at Greens Prairie Elementary! They were promised a fun week if they did well with all of the "serious learning" the week before. Cade learned so much this year. he advanced 6 reading levels, learned about 3 dimensional shapes, explored the research process during his project about cougars, and discovered that he is better/faster at math than his mother. Monday, August 10, 2015. New and Old in New Braunfels. Happens in 2 ways when we visit New Braunfels. One way is sharing fun experiences from my childhood with our kids, and another way is experiencing all of the new things that the growing city of New Braunfels has to offer to families! Another memory from growing up is going to the spring fed pool at Landa Park. While I remembered the bottom of the pool being pretty slimy, I did not remember how insanely cold the water was!
