History - The Beer Tree
http://www.thebeertree.org.uk/history.html
The Beer Tree was founded in 2001 when Richard Naisby. Owner of Milton Brewery. At that time rowing for the Free Press, thought it would be a jolly good wheeze to put a barrel of his beer in a tree on the first night of the Town bumps. The beer was left over from a rained-off cricket match and nobody had any idea that the concept would prove popular. And promptly drank the beer tree dry. Thus setting a precedent that continues to this day. 2004 saw over a thousand pounds raised for Cancer Research UK.

They kindly carried a camping chair for me! After all the above I was a tiny bit achy, but went straight home to rest again, and survived it. Note : He...

The Beer Trip | We're Not Drunk, We're Just Drinkin'
Oktoberfest München 2012 Report. Oct 18th, 2012. We didn’t go to Oktoberfest for the lederhosen, we were there for the beer. If in the end, we woke up the following morning wearing lederhosen, then that meant two things: First, it must have meant the beer was really good. Second, the fact that we still have some clothes on means that we probably resisted the impulse to run naked through the beer tents. Not as compelling as the urge to run naked through the hop fields of Belgium. Round A. Bout. This year ...
