Cockatiel Corner: Baby Update
http://totallycockatiels.blogspot.com/2009/05/baby-update.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. All five babies are growing quite fast and looks like all of them are pearled. This photos is a bit old so right about now they're just about ready to hop out of the nest and flex those wings in our big aviary. Can't wait! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cockatiel Corner: May 2009
http://totallycockatiels.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. So I think we're going to try and breed an Albino next year. It's a bit complicated because there is no single Albino gene in cockatiels. The bird equivalent to the animal Albino, is the Lutino cockatiel shown to the left. Lutino have a sex-linked gene that prohibits the creation of melanin in feathers. Cockatiel Corner: Heads Up
http://totallycockatiels.blogspot.com/2009/05/heads-up.html
Friday, May 1, 2009. Decided to take those eggs out today. Just as I had guessed, the parents had not been sitting on them. The new hatchlings look to be doing good and are just starting to put out pin feathers. Caught this picture of Cinnamon the other day, a beautiful pearled cockatiel that I hand fed a few years ago. I think I may have surprised him a bit :D. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:/ thebestpointtoclicksitesptc.blogspot.com. Supported by the online website design.

Cockatiel Corner: Surprise!
http://totallycockatiels.blogspot.com/2009/04/surprise.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. Just finally got baby Elvis to start eating seed, and what do you know, I look in the nest of one of our whiteface and pied/pearled pair and there's not one, not two, not even three but five little hatchlings! Luckily, these two are our best pair parent wise so I'm thinking I'm going to keep them in there. They look to be about 10 days old, well-fed, and 2 of them are whitefaced.
