It all began with Ben and a bbq. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Monday, December 29, 2014. Winter in Colorado came right on time, in like a lion, with no sign of departure. With temps frequently in the 50's and 60's leading up to the start of the fair fourth season, the cold, snow and ice have been hard to acclimate to. Ryan had to go back to work for a couple of days between Christmas and New Year's Eve so Ben and I resorted to winter camping. We "hiked" the stairs and saw a bear on the next peak over.

It all began with Ben and a bbq. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. New Year, Same School. Ben started 4 year old, half-day preschool today at the same school as last year. This year his teacher is Ms. Hilary and his para is Ms. Cindy. Both teachers have incredible reputations and I'm very excited for what this year holds for Ben. A couple kiddos from last year's class are in his class again and this year's class is also smaller by 3 students. He was excited and ready to be back at school. Sunday, August 24, 2014.

In the midst of all the previous damage, our basement had flooded a bit in a previous storm. SO MANY bags of wet carpet and pad. Thankfully large-item-pickup was only a week away. Ben spent a couple days choosing Bagheera's name and I suggested Peanut Butter, Hobbes and Dos. Bagheera really stuck, even though, "I know Bagheera (from Jungle Book) is not the tiger but he's the good guy. The tiger, what's his name? Sher khan." "yeah, mama, he's not the good guy.". It all began with Ben and a bbq. Saturday, September 27, 2014. With a new school year, come new friends and more birthday parties. Ben's whole class was invited to Isaac's birthday at the nearby Ritchie center at DU. It was a tumbling party and for Ben embodied all the fun of Jump Street with lots of waiting in line. :( Ryan took him and they both reported lots of fun had by all.
